Dear John: I make approximately $25,000 a year before taxes and I make another $10,000 from rental income.
My mortgage is $2,100 a month.
I got ObamaCare coverage last year, and I paid approximately $230 a month with some subsidies from New York state.

I cant apply for Medicare, because I make too much!
Dear M.S.:
Didn't you know that ObaMaoCare was designed to fail and be replaced with fully socialized medicine?
Blows my mind at how many people just can't fathom how this was the setup when I talk to them about obunghole care. Just totally clueless.
$2100 mortgage on a $35k income is crazy. That would leave you less than $10k for electricity, water, sewage, phone, and food.
NY ..Hmmm Chances are he is a Democrat and got just what he voted for. $500 a month is c heap. I am 64 and pay over $1,100.00 per month and with a sickly wife you can add another $500.00 per month to offset the deductibles.
Liberals love to point to Canada’s health care system but are strangely silent when you mention of the 9 month waiting list for cancer treatment, or knee replacement surgery or any non-emergency health care.
P.S. The three doctors at the family practice that I go to are all from Canada and left because of socialized medicine.
Dear M.S.
If you voted Democrat, you’re getting what you voted for. Maybe you should try the Republican alternative this fall - the mandate forcing you to buy insurance you can’t afford has a better chance of going away.
Looks like one problem is their mortgage is 2/3 of gross pay, but that’s just me.
I too, am going to be susceptible to the whims of premium increases in 2017, yes it sucks.
Or the fact that Canada screens their immigrants a lot better and has a lot fewer of the gimmedat demographic.
I think you are missing the point. The man doesn’t want to be on Medicaid. ACA is mandating he pay his entire post-income and mortgage income to healthcare.
Those who give a positive response, I do my best to avoid because they have just admitted they would like to make an average salary when they have a skillset below average.
That won’t happen this year, as both candidates want fully socialized medicine.
Yep. It is called medical tourism.
Actually it is about 1200 on 25K. The rent is fully deductible Still only half the income available for food etc..
No, I’m not missing any points, thanks.
ACA is a nightmare for anyone dealing with it.
Contrary to what he wants, though, even if Obamacare were means-tested, “means” means money coming in, not whatever you haven’t spent yet.
Yeah. And we’re supposed to subsidize his insurance because he has a huge mortgage.
