On Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that people who have been in the US illegally for a long period of time won’t get citizenship “have to pay taxes, there’s no amnesty as such. There’s no amnesty. But we work with them.”
Trump was asked, [relevant exchange begins around 3:30] “[Y]ou’re not a criminal alien, you committed no crimes, but you didn’t respect our laws and sovereignty. You also seem to be indicating there might be something other than they have to go back. Am I reading that right?”
He answered, “Look, we have to follow the laws of our country.”
Trump then asked the audience what should be done about people who have been in the US for a long time and has been “terrific.”
After asking this question of his audience two more times, Trump was asked, “So, you’re saying there is — and you have been sort of indicating that there’ll be some flexibility that you — originally you had said they were all out, and there was a big brouhaha, but you’re saying that if somebody can prove that they’ve been here, proven to be a citizen, but here’s the big question, though, no citizenship?”
Trump responded, “No citizenship. Let me go a step further, they’ll pay back taxes, they have to pay taxes, there’s no amnesty as such. There’s no amnesty. But we work with them.

It seems like everyone who gave Romney and McCain bad advice on being Democrat lite have been advising Trump of late, to bad effect.
Don’t be manipulated with this “softening” nonsense. Trump never promised Operation Wetback 2.0. Trump says he will enforce the law and build a wall. What more can we ask for at this point with a useless GOP Congress?
Making them pay taxes will cause them to self deport. Excellent idea Trump!
Who the hell knows what he’s gonna do? But I’m pretty confident of one thing:
If he builds the wall - enforces the current immigration laws, aggressively - goes after employers - forces the use of E Verify - starts taxing the remittances - starts vetting people that want to come here - starts restricting the whole welfare racket and in turn will empower the states to start doing the same - TELLS THEM THEY HAVE TO PAY BACKTAXES...he won’t have to deport anyone. They’ll be heading south, back home, in no time.
As for haj, like those in Dearborn and other places, they’ll show their hand soon enough. When that happens, if it’s during his presidency, they’ll be run out of here quick.

They don’t pay taxes. They get earned income credit refunds.
Would suspect that there are at least 50 million illegals and anchor babies in the U.S. now. The 11 million number everyone keeps using is a total joke unless you are talking about how many may be in Texas now. There is no realistic way that 50 million can be sent back in the blink of an eye. Going to take a whole lot of legislation and backbone to accomplish this task.
Realistic to see the wall built, the flow of drugs be shopped, no more allowed in, criminals sent back and not allowed to reenter and all benefits and jobs cut off. There is going to be a real battle royal over these steps from the Legislature, the Court system, ACLU, the Chamber, business organizations and state legislatures.
Even if they're terrific, they're still illegal. Why haven't they become legal citizens?

This whole effn thing is nothing more than treating the symptoms. How about attacking the sickness? Like throw the dam people in jail who hire these illegally?
Or how about this; Let the local law enforcement handle it. If they catch illegals at work at a place, the compnay who hired them gets to pay a 5 or 6 thousand dollar fine for each hired illegal. That law enforcement agency then gets to keep 80% of the fines and the guilty company gets to pay for ALL of the deportation costs for ALL the illegals they hired.
Big boost for the retirement fund for the police. Got 10 illegals at your business? Good! Then you get to pay 60 thousand bucks in fines, as well as a ton of deportation fees.
Wanna bet they wouldnt enforce that law? Wanna bet that the shyster developers, etc, would quit the practice of hiring these illegals?

Bull. This is amnesty. If he thinks he’s going to get votes by stabbing his voters in the back on illegal immigration, he’s wrong.
That has always pissed me off. EVERYONE, I don’t care how poor they are they should pay their “fair share”. They use our roads, schools and use our welfare benefits. They need to shut up and pay up. Riding on the backs of those who pay taxes has to stop. I don’t care who they are.
This all happened the moment he switched campaign managers.
And no Citizenship = NO VOTING
Aliens who fraudulently vote are committing a federal crime.
