“I got nothin.”
We were just discussing that.
A tiny example: In just one city, Dallas Tx at Parkland Hospital, about 1000 anchor babies per MONTH are dumped on the tax payers. This is at just one single hospital in one state.
A physician once told me it's costing tax payers many billions annually to provide care for millions of these criminal trespassers. This does not take into account all the medical facilities bankrupted by them. It's f'n outrageous.
...And millions for art...
20 million for art at a VA hospital that specialized in care for the blind. Really.
He went to the E.R. and was denied service,
He should have pretended to be an illegal.

Unforgivable.
To the butthead who gets the good service: you’re welcome.
To make him feel better, he should have admired the art work. The VA spent tens of millions of tax dollars on art last year, but they don’t have anyone in an ER who can help when a veteran needs psychiatric help. Shameful.

“I get great service from the VA myself.”
Same here. Had cataracts both eyes to the point of total blindness in 2002. VA to the rescue. NOW both eyes the lens muscles failed, and the lenses have dropped. Minimal sight in one eye only. VA will be taking care of it in October.
Was going in for surgery yesterday per previous schedule, but my wife got knocked on her butt by a spooked horse, so had to cancel to take care of her. Rescheduled to October. VA has been very accommodating.
Wife is up, and about. Walking with a limp, but already tossed the walker aside. Tough ol’ gal at 72.
More like abolish it. The country got through its first 200 years fine without it. Having the former Veterans Administration as a cabinet level position hasn't seemed to work out too well.
Absolutely not....There are too many vets that have to depend on that help...It is only recently that the VA has slipped down....
You must not be a vet....
I’m not quite sure what all that has to do with this story and the thousands of other stories regarding substandard care for vets. Unless this is an attempt to discredit those who did not receive top shelf treatment like you.
Some of the VA Med Centers are quite good, as are a lot of the docs, but there are some bad apples. I went to a VA Med Center ER (not the one I go to now) on a Sunday with a raging infection in my big toe. After a long wait I was issued a prescription for an oral antibiotic and an appointment with a doctor in 3 days. A day later the infection had spread into the instep of my foot. I went to a civilian hospital for emergency treatment. One doc commented " We have to take the toe to save the leg," such was the virulence of the untreated infection. I lost the toe in a successful operation and recovered.
I get great service from the VA myself.
I do too...from the medical staff.
Admin and laboratory personnel are a rude lot.
