A Michigan rodeo clown is out of a job after he joked about gender identity at the Calhoun County Fair last week.
“You’re either a boy or a girl, y’all understand,” “Rockin’ Robbie Hodges told the audience Thursday. “If you’re confused, then you need help, OK?”
Some audience members appeared to laugh at the joke, but an attendee who recorded the skit said many people left out of protest, a local NBC News affiliate reported.
Megan Harvey, the executive director for the Calhoun County Fair, said she was disappointed by the comments.
“I was very disappointed, because we do not put on a platform for that to happen here,” she told NBC.

Exactly right. That's why my alarm bells went off when I read that people were leaving in protest.
BULL SH*T! Rodeo people aren't beta male simpering wimps. If they don't like something, they don't run and hide, they confront it.
I haven't been to a rodeo in years, but I know what sort of people go to such things, and they are the salt of the earth "common sense" types.
They will not indulge "political correctness", they will laugh at it.
And I bet the clowns ARE doing the same skits. :)
I kind of think the statements were uncalled for, for their politically charged content. But, as many have said, this wouldn’t have been an issue even 5 years ago. Sad.

The fair is likely run by the county that appointed a county fair commission.
Show up at the next county board meeting with 50 people and demand that Megan Harvey, the executive director for the Calhoun County Fair, be fired.
If the board refuses to comply, start recall petitions to fire every board member. Michigan is a home rule state that allows citizens to recall elected local officials for any reason.
So here’s your chance, Calhoun County residents, to fire liberals and take back your government. If you can’t get off your butts to reclaim your county, then you deserve every misery delivered to you by liberal fascists.

Clowns aren’t meant to be taken seriously. They make people laugh. When a country turns on its clowns it has lost its sense of humor and will not last long.
Sometimes I think the only thing that will shut the perpetually offended don’t have enough to complain about otherwise is a nice big asteroid hurtling toward Earth. THEN they might STFU. His remark was truthful, but not particularly funny.
Calhoun is a very country folk community of people. It is two counties over from where I live. It has a huge 4H community, big farming community. I seriously doubt lot of folks left.
If this could happen at a RODEO in a RURAL American town, there is zero chance of recovering this country. Let it go. It's over.
Yeah, I absolutely do not believe that at all. I could believe it if it was some event in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York, but at a rodeo in Michigan? Nah. I don't even believe it would happen at a rodeo in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York. The type of people who go to a rodeo don't strike me as the type of people who believe gender is subjective to feeling and not chromosomes and anatomy.
Someone please give this guy a good paying job. To lose a job over this is deplorable.
