Donald Trump has hired the lawyer who helped Hulk Hogan win an invasion-of-privacy case against Gawker and given him a new mission: threaten legal action against several media outlets that picked up a Slovenian magazine's report claiming that Melania Trump worked as an escort in the 1990s.
The website Liberal America on Monday posted a letter it received from Hollywood attorney Charles Harder demanding a retraction and an apology. Politico reported that at least three other news organizations, including London's Daily Mail, received the same notice, which warns that Melania Trump will "institute immediate legal proceedings against you" if her conditions are not met.

I want them scared to death of what might happen to them. After what they have done, they should live in fear for the rest of their lives.
That’s an insult to “queer bait” everywhere!
Not yet they aren't. When they are getting shot down in the street, when they are getting arrested and thrown in prison, *THEN* they will finally be facing consequences for their lies.
Its a conspiracy of silence on the part of these leftist journalists. They take a tweet out of context and try to make a federal case out of it, but IGNORE that evil *itch’s record of selling who knows what to misogynistic, sadistic fiends from the Middle East in return for MILLIONS of dollars into their coffers.
FORGET Trump’s income tax returns. WHERE THE HELL ARE THE FINANCIAL RECORDS ON THE CLINTON FOUNDATION AND THEIR SUBSIDARIES?? WHERE THE HELL IS THE MONEY FROM THAT FOUNDATION GOING????? WHAT IS COMING INTO IT AND FROM WHERE AND WHEN???
Uh no. One would hope he would open up RICO prosecutions for the collusion with the Democrat party.
I want to see "journalists" go to prison for manipulating elections.
Trump fights back & these people are very scared as a result. I pray Trump wins in November so all these evil shits have their media kingdoms rendered into dust.
Vote Trump 2016
He’s a Callum Borchers alright!
He’s an outsider taking on the Establishment in both parties and the media.
:: Donald Trump has hired the lawyer who helped Hulk Hogan win an invasion-of-privacy case against Gawker and given him a new mission: threaten legal action against several media outlets that picked up a Slovenian magazine’s report claiming that Melania Trump worked as an escort in the 1990s ::
Is it that Trump has hired this barrister, or, is it that he recommended to Melania (a business entity unto herself) to hire him for any likely “fight”?
I’d rather think that Melania, as an independent businesswoman in her own part, placed the said lawyer on retainer to quash any attempt at libel/slander on the advice of her husband.
For London's Daily Mail, they would proceed under UK's libel laws, which favor the plaintiff more.
Hillary is ALREADY incapacitated. She takes weekly
“vacations” for long naps. Of course, anyone needs their
rest; but Hillary has made a banquet of it.
She’s up to prancing onstage and running her mouth for a
while (as is Hussein Obama). She & Bill can hug & hold
hands like LLL (Long Lost Lovers) onstage; provided Bill
can stay awake long enough. The teleprompter is her best
buddy these days.
IF Bill does not “deliver” on his promise to make her
POTUS; he’s in hot water without a canoe. Sort of like
Vince Foster.
The WAPO must not know that there is no Sullivan vs Times in the British Legal System.
My definition of incapacitated is essentially almost Soviet-style “Kremlin flu”—staying out of public for very long stretches at a time. And I can really see Hillary on the very of being incapacitated like that given her neurological health issues.
God forbid Melania Trump gets pizzed at being called a prostitute.
But the rumour mill does not stop whirring there. Earlier this month, a Slovenian magazine, Suzy, published a front page story claiming Melanias modelling agency in New York, run by New York entrepreneur, Paolo Zampolli, also operated as an escort agency for wealthy clients. So, the original story DID NOT say that Melania was an escort. It said that the same modelling company that Melania worked for, also operated an escort service, and implied (without evidence) that Melania worked for that operation in addition to modelling.
But, don’t worry. Tune in next week when Trump will save the day with another heroic statement. Same time, same channel (msnbc). Don’t you guys have any real news to broadcast rather then looking like a weekly serial trying to entertain a flimsy childish display like their Trump attacks. Hilary attacks business with taxing she can’t do and gets page 117 just as soon as the media realizes it doesn’t help, and Trump’s hair style gets page 1.
C’mon......grow up a little.

The only two on a national scale that even come close to that description are Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. The remaining are only political operatives who pretend to be media.
If an assertion was published that Melania was a prostitute and it is proven to be false, Trump has a good case regardless of malice or recklessness. In common tort law, the publisher who falsely asserts one is or was a prostitute is strictly liable regardless of whether the one accused is a public figure and regardless of malice on the part of the publisher. Normally a public figure is barred from recovery of defamation unless malice can be proved. But this is a strict liability case because it involves asserting female sexual misconduct. Melania, a public figure, has a winnable strict liability case against any media outlets making the assertion if the assertion is not true (except maybe overseas outlets that are under different defamation rules).
:: published that Melania was a prostitute and it is proven to be false, Trump has a good case ::
No!
DJT does NOT have a case in any sort.
Melania has a defamation tort. She does not need her husband’s finances to bring the tort as she is a court recognized entity.
She is a businesswoman in her own right and can rightly bring that tort on her own effort and may win.
It all depends on court ordered exposure of evidence.
