Hillary Clinton’s top campaign aide, and the woman who might be the future White House chief of staff to the first female US president, for a decade edited a radical Muslim publication that opposed women’s rights and blamed the US for 9/11.
One of Clinton’s biggest accomplishments listed on her campaign Web site is her support for the UN women’s conference in Bejing in 1995, when she famously declared, “Women’s rights are human rights.” Her speech has emerged as a focal point of her campaign, featured prominently in last month’s Morgan Freeman-narrated convention video introducing her as the Democratic nominee.
However, soon after that “historic and transformational” 1995 event, as Clinton recently described it, her top aide Huma Abedin published articles in a Saudi journal taking Clinton’s feminist platform apart, piece by piece. At the time, Abedin was assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs working under her mother, who remains editor-in-chief. She was also working in the White House as an intern for then-First Lady Clinton.
Headlined “Women’s Rights are Islamic Rights,” a 1996 article argues that single moms, working moms and gay couples with children should not be recognized as families. It also states that more revealing dress ushered in by women’s liberation “directly translates into unwanted results of sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility and indirectly promote violence against women.” In other words, sexually liberated women are just asking to be raped.
“Pushing [mothers] out into the open labor market is a clear demonstration of a lack of respect of womanhood and motherhood,” it added.

Who is Huma’s OTHER sister?
It seems to have no impact on the Democrat base - or the lame stream media which keeps us uninformed.
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Hillary isn’t callous to radical Islam and its threat to national security. She’s feckless.
There is no necessary downside in making the point you suggest with respect to Huma Abedin. It may be an item--perhaps one of many--being saved for an election eve address or one in September or October. The advantage that we have is that there is a tremendous disparity in factual ammunition. Donald Trump has an overwhelming arsenal; Mrs. Clinton has only the endless iteration of a stale, but still false narrative.

I understand you thoughts,I guess. Just look at everything objectively not subjectively. I base my feeling on what I read,see and change in attitudes.
I am 77 years old. I am retired but before retiring I was never out of a job. I started working odd jobs from the Third Grade on.
I have never drawn a penny of unemployment. I have three children.One was out of work because they moved his job. He was out of work going to school to retrain for about 6 weeks.
I served in the military,have a son who spent 8 years in the military. We all paid our taxes and did what was required of us by the government.
Now I see a government who will audit you and single you out if you are a Conservative. We have a government that lies,cheats and steals and condones it from those in their Political Party.They sold weapons to drug dealers,allowed those serving us to be killed in Benghazi and turned our backs on troops in Mogadishu and aboard the USS Cole.
We have a women that has lied,cheated and stole all of her life and she could quite well become President.
I am an Independent but vote mostly Republican statewide and National because I have watched the Democrats boo the name of God,Police Officers and the Military.I readily admit I am not optimistic. I do not worry about myself but I do worry for those I am leaving behind

Trump is picking his battles, now. I believe the axe falls first on Hillary, and then the broader themes of security at home and abroad, immigration and trade.
