A senior staffer at the Republican National Committee (RNC) told Breitbart News Saturday GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump did not say or suggest that he was open to granting any legal statusamnestyto any illegal aliens in the United States at his campaigns National Hispanic Advisory Council meeting as reported in BuzzFeed and Univision.
Mr. Trump did not say he was in favor of legalization, said Helen Aguirre-Ferre, who joined the RNC staff to help coordinate outreach to the Hispanic community and act as the GOP Hispanic communications director. Aguirre-Ferre told Breitbart News that she is Hispanic, but not a member of the advisory council. Her role was to help arrange the meeting and attend on behalf of the RNC.
Anyone at the meeting, held at Trump Tower, who got the impression that Trump had changed his position on foreigners in the United States illegally misinterpreted his remarks, she said.

The concern trolls came out of the woodwork like fire ants after they smell a dead beetle, as soon as they heard this “news” from of all places UNIVISION.
I will be voting for Trump. I hope you will, too. And, if it helps for you to avoid getting all tangled up with the details of these issues, that’s okay. Just don’t forget to vote. ;-)
“The concern trolls came out of the woodwork like fire ants after they smell a dead beetle, as soon as they heard this news from of all places UNIVISION.”
I saw the first thread on the Univision report and instantly knew it was bunk because of the source.
This morning over coffee, I saw some posts with links to (alleged) verification of Trump’s possible softening on the issue, and expressed some unease about it.
I was immediately jumped on by two or three posters who took me for some kind of concern troll. Anyone who knows me here, would chuckle at such an accusation.
Maybe I did communicate some ‘concern’, but I didn’t have the previous night’s cobwebs cleared out, nor did I have all the latest statements from Trump’s people to hand.
It’s amazing what two cups of joe and more current facts will do for one’s state of mind.
“If Trump has some escape hatches for a few illegals for humanitarian reasons, do not be overly concerned.”
Trump has a decades long history of being a man of his word. At this stage of his life, and with such an historic turning point for our nation in his hands, I don’t think for a minute that he’ll fail to deliver what he’s promised.
He’ll either come through, or die trying in the attempt. It’s just how he’s built. Like us, he understands that these are no mere campaign promises, but solemn vows to do what no president has been willing to do in the last half century - maybe even longer.
Not only is his personal honor and reputation riding on this - so is the fate of the nation, and the world.
He must, and he will succeed, as will America.
Anyone who is familiar with your comments knows you are not a concern troll!
Thank you, LJ.
After almost ten years and close to 50,000 comments, some folks still don’t know me. Makes me wonder how often they read here.
I will tell you something...the only person in this world I had absolutely zero concern on any issue was my father. Anyone else, I am always concerned and skeptical about, it is just a matter of degree.
In this real world we live in, only fools expect 100.00% purity. So it all boils down to making the right choice, knowing full well it won’t be 100% congruent with my objectives. So I choose Trump over Hillary, with no compunction or trepidation or hesitation.
Uh huh.
“In this real world we live in, only fools expect 100.00% purity.”
Absolutely right. Even the great Ronaldus Magnus broke faith with conservatives on some issues. He made mistakes, but he got most of the big stuff right.
Reagan wasn’t a saint, and neither is Trump. We’d be stupid not to brace ourselves for some disappointments here and there from him, but I believe he’ll get the big things right.
I got 4 votes from the family for Trump.
And my sister in CA who has voted democrat since Jimmy Carter along with her husband and 2 daughters are voting for Trump. But they are in CA and it will not matter. I will be voting in hanging chad land of Florida.
