Good point. Only someone with those desires would get such a doll. I hadnt thought of that. Which then would likely lead him down the road to wanting a real child to act out his sick desires.No, we already stipulated that the desire to do something with a child is there. The doll is potentially a way to vent that desire without harming an actual person. The calculus is: would more children be harmed if they were using the dolls (because it normalizes their addiction in their minds), or will fewer children be harmed (since their addiction has an outlet). Not an easy call... and likely one that government shouldn't make... but if it would truly and actually save some kids... again, a tough call.
Methodone clinics are not popular with the public either, but I think they are helpful overall.

Methodone clinics are not popular with the public either, but I think they are helpful overall. I think banks should have branches with less money, that are less secure and easily robbed in order to satisfy those that have a deep desire to rob a bank. It could prevent larger losses.
