Concerns relating to litigation about religious discrimination have some American employers taking steps to make the workplace more Muslim-friendly, Bloomberg News reports.
Anything from establishing prayer rooms to having office parties sans alcohol are just some of the things U.S. companies are doing out of deference for their Muslim employees.
The atmosphere is so toxic now that even having constitutionally protected religious accommodation in the workplace can somehow be controversial, Ibrahim Hooper, communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told Bloomberg.
CAIR filed complaints on behalf of Muslims whose jobs were terminated last January at a meat-packing plant after they walked-out in protest over the restrictions on their ability to have prayer breaks.
Ariens, a family-owned Wisconsin based roto tiller factory, tried to accommodate its Muslim workers prayer schedule at its factory, The U.S. Herald reported, but doing so satisfactorily made the production line less efficient, Ariens said in a statement.
Muslims must pray five times every day, with one added prayer on Friday.
About 1 percent of the U.S. population practices Islam, but 40 percent of religion-based workplace complaints filed with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Commission in 2015 were Islam related.

If employers dont start taking these issues seriously, and put in measures to ensure that no one is subject to harassment, were going to see more claims, Michelle Phillips, an employment law attorney, told Bloomberg.

Imagine being a supervisor in some of these work places? How do you schedule work around all these special accommodations? What a nightmare.
This world is on fast track to end of times.
This is just outright horsesh!t. What you get back from accommodating a Muslim isn't loyalty or their pleasure at being accepted; you get back even more demands until your whole belief system itself is compromised.

When you attend one of those “privileged courses” after you stand up and say, I am Joe and I am privileged, a unicorn runs through the crowd, it showers skittles and then you get a nice certificate as a parting gift.
One more reason to declare Islam a political movement and ban it.
The scumuslims won’t stop until they’ve queered everything up that they don’t like. Why are we allowing this subhuman garbage in, again? If they don’t want to assimilate to our lifestyle, they need to go home. All they want to do is conquer us. Who needs it, again?

I am angered at the weakness of those that ARE afraid.

President Trump is not God, and you can't legislate morality, but you CAN uphold and support values that are traditionally OURS and you can legislate against treasonous systems being made legal because of cowardice.
We need to get the muslims OUT of our workplaces. And OUT of our country. Problem solved.

This is completely ridiculous. An employer has to pay rent for space that could be used more productively? And can’t they just choose to abstain from alcohol at the parties; why force everyone else to not even have the choice?
Why are we bending over backwards to accommodate these people?
Next thing you know, Christmas office parties will be outlawed.
There was a public school in Toronto, I think, where they had all the boys sit in the front, the girls in the back, and at the very back, were all the girls who were having their period.
First, that is incredibly insulting and not in line with the values that make the U.S. and Canada attractive to these people. Unless they are coming for some other reason, about which they are lying (as they are supposed to do).
And second, I’d like to know who is checking on which girls were menstruating. When I was a teenaged girl, I really would not have liked discussing that with anyone.
