Donald Trump landed Friday in flood-ravaged Louisiana Friday, where he consoled homeowners and toured devastated communities, telling one homeowner he is "going to rebuild."
The Republican presidential nominee, with running mate Mike Pence at his side, stopped at the home of Jimmy and Olive Gordan in Denham Springs, where the couple was still sweeping out floodwaters from their home. A ruined couch, chair and bedroom furniture were piled on their lawn, and Jimmy Gordan told Trump he spent his 79th birthday on the roof of his house.
"I just don't know what we'll do," the man told Trump.
"You're going to rebuild, Trump told him as the two hugged. It's going to be so beautiful."
Trump and Pence received a warm reception as they toured a heavily-damaged portion of East Baton Rouge Parish. A crowd of supporters near a local Baptist church where volunteers have gathered to feed flood victims cheered the pair.
"Thank you for coming, Mr. Trump," one woman screamed.
"We knew you would be here for us!" another shouted.

Fox reported the ‘other’ knee-pad MSM came out and accused DT of a photo op. You know, the same bunch that accused Bush of not being serious about Katrina.
Point to Mr. Trump.
Continue play.
Trump the voice of the people.
Accusing the Louisianans of discrimination.

I love that neither DJ nor Mike spoke to the Enemedia, only the volunteers and the victims !
Managed to be big league in their face without saying a word.
They epitomized 'Presidential' throughout .. something these tired eyes haven't seen in a very long time.

...”Obama irks La. flood victims with memo warning them not to discriminate”....
let state and local officials know that hes watching to make sure they dont engage in racial discrimination.
In a 16-page guidance issued Tuesday, the Obama administration, led by the Justice Department, warned Louisiana recipients of federal disaster assistance against engaging in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency).
The guidances frameworks highlight the importance of complying with nondiscrimination requirements of civil rights statutes, addressing the needs of the whole community, and ensuring equal opportunity to access recovery efforts.
Needless to say, some Louisiana residents were offended, including the American Conservatives Rod Dreher, who took umbrage at receiving an anti-discrimination lecture from Washington, D.C., as locals struggle to rescue, house and feed their neighbors.
[E]verywhere you look you can find black folks and white folks loving on each other, helping each other through this crisis, Mr. Dreher said in a Thursday post.
He referred to the guidance as a long bureaucratic memo issued by the Department of Justice and many other agencies of the executive branch overseen by He Who Cannot Be Troubled to Leave Marthas Vineyard.

I understand Trump asked that Media NOT be there....
I think there was also a picture from Billy Graham’s birthday showing them all together. Beautiful!
'Hatred' doesn't do justice to my loathing of that vile PUNK.

And btw, great pics, thanks !
TRUMP is Presidential, and he has NOT even been sworn in yet!!! But let’s be fair...Obama has to give some tough love to his pothead daughter, and it would be completely against medical advice for Hillary to be there in that heat and humidity. So of course, neither of them can make it! /s;)
More presidential than the alleged president. Again.
LA. Newspaper begs Obama to come there....

Obama has no doubt discovered that crises keep their own calendar, even when commanders-in-chief are trying to take some time off the clock. Its an inconvenience of the presidency, but its what chief executives sign up for when they take the oath of office.
And if the president can interrupt his vacation for a swanky fundraiser for fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, as he did on Monday, then surely he can make time to show up for a catastrophe thats displaced thousands.
Awesome video!
You bet it was
