WASHINGTON, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- The UPI/CVoter daily presidential tracking poll released Friday shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by 4.2 percentage points. The online poll shows Clinton with 49.69 percent to Trump's 45.47.
The most recent data reflect a 1.19 percentage point shift toward Trump and a loss of 1.15 percentage points by Clinton. A day earlier Clinton held a more-than 6-point lead. Over the course of a full, seven-day sample of the poll, both candidates have largely held steady, with Clinton gaining 0.2 percentage points and Trump gaining 0.3 percentage points over the past week.
The UPI/CVoter online tracking poll surveys about 200 people each day, leading to a sample size of roughly 1,400 people during any seven-day span.
Because the poll is conducted online and individuals self-select to participate, a margin of error cannot be calculated. The poll has a credibility interval of 3 percentage points. This seven-day span includes data collected from Aug. 11-17, when 1,397 individuals were surveyed. Of them, 1,009 identified themselves as likely voters.
geez.... the pillows and diapers candidate
I think very soon this new “presidential tone” of Trump’s will begin to take over. Her apparent strategy is to hide, do as few, tightly controlled little talks as possible.
He can beat her on energy alone in the last month.
Slight uptick for the Felon. I think it’s +1.2 for her today. But Trump was still getting nearly 14% of the AA vote.
Trump needs to turn things around in a number of states, Florida, Ohio for starters.
Or go to the restroom.
The key variable in today’s USC poll was the day that fell off, rather than the day that was added. The day that fell off was bad for Clinton and not good for Trump. Tomorrow’s numbers should be interesting when the ridiculously good day for Hillary falls out of the average. That day was also especially bad for Trump. With it out of the average, things should tighten up considerably.
I just don’t see the debates happening.
???
And, it wouldn't be the first time a debate failed to happen.Johnson in '64 and Nixon in '68 & '72
I think they manufacture a reason why she can't debate.Just my humble opinion.
Oh yeah the one that ValJar and her 36 staffers with several thousand fake profiles were instructed to fill out among others for Obama's friend this week....I can't wait for the disgruntled staffers to tell the truth. Of course they may have already tried but with the NSA on their side they may have warned Val and may no longer be among the living.
The focused detailed policy speeches Trump has been giving this week are the pivot he needed to make. Bringing on Conway and Bannon is really going to shake things up. I look for the polls to continue to tighten.
Great news!
Trumps recent speeches have been fabulous!
Why Trump is working hard everyday, Hillary is taking a lot of
time off.
True!
It won’ show up in the polls, the MSM won’t allow the truth to come through.
I was reading “LS “ earlier and agree. I am so pleased with this week which has not shown up in any polling yet. Trump has made Hillary look very bad in Louisiana with out appearing to grand stand. His three recent speeches were seminal events. There is a real optimistic tone emerging toward the election of Trump, which the media cannot seem to quell. The media appears discombobulated and confused. There is a sense of doom beginning to be reflected because she is such a flawed candidate and she appears to get worse every day on so many fronts.
