Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, resigned from the campaign on Friday, according to Fox News.
“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success,” Trump stated in a press release on Friday.

Manafort is an insider; now he’s out, and more outsiders are in; ie Bannon.
Manafort hasn’t been a power insider for decades. He’s been a middle grade lobbyist. They are a dime a dozen in the beltway.
Genius move on Trump’s part. Bring on people better SUITED for a task and discard deadweights.

I’m inclined to think Cruz did himself in with his delegate stealing shenanigans more than Manafort pushed Trump over the top.

Exactly, Manafort did a super job at the convention. I was there, it was a masterful job. Only fly in the ointment was “Lying Ted.” Not much that Manafort could have done about that anyway.
The man served his mission well. Now the focus will be back on Trump's psyop ad campaign that will begin taking apart and annihilating The Brimstone Queen.

Yep—Trump’s campaign was heading toward serious trouble at the convention and Manafort’s contribution by all accounts was critical.
Kellyanne is a much better face to his campaign organization right now, as well as probably a good adviser to the effort. It looks like she’s got buy-in from Trump. Did she insist that he use a teleprompter from here on out?
