Casting corn kernels may not be the most scientific method of presidential polling, but it still reveals some voter preferences in the battleground state Iowa.
Attendees at the Iowa State Fair have been able to cast their vote in the 2016 presidential race by placing corn kernels in a jar at the WHO-HD TV News booth. On the fairs fifth day, the results so far gave Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump a lead with 56 percent over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who has received 44 percent of the kernels so far.
Polltakers are able to see the results amass before their eyes in clear jars placed on a table. The 12-point lead by Trump came from 24,284 votes. Clinton had 19,418 votes, according to WHO-HD 13.
The unscientific poll has been conducted at the fair for the past decade

More Republicans go to the fair.
Put a lid on it
Just remember that everything the media says is dishonest, and this will make perfect sense.
My whole life I thought of Iowa as middle America. Apparently I was very wrong.
Hmm... 24k votes out of over one million ...
Wonder which night has been designated for this year’s “Beat Whitey” event? Local Law Enforcement in the somewhat sketchy area of Des Moines around the fairgrounds have denied that this occurs, but the local yoot participants are happy to perform for the cameras.
Stay tuned!
Still it is a little corny...
To be most accurate, people had to drop coins instead of kernels into Clinton’s jar... :)
Dems participating in the corn poll no doubt continue the time-honored tradition of vote cheating - voting by the handful instead of the single kernal. This way, all of the dead people and “residents” of fake addresses that normally “vote” Dem can be properly represented.
“Vote casting rules are for thee, not for me”
That O’Malley turnout was probably just 3 or 4 people with big hands.
or they were all O malley election workers with fake/temp addresses
I know what I’d like to drop into it...
Yes, I find it equally disgusting. Shrillary should not even get 1,900 votes in a sample that size. Seriously.
Jill Stein is more honest than Hitlery.
The fair must not take EBT cards.
I agree with you. And in my personal opinion, a “landslide” is 66% or more (2 to 1).
Less than 5% bothered to ‘vote’
Hillary got creamed.
Winner!
LOL
All I remember at this point is thinking Romney was going to lose. At this point, I think Trump is going to steam roll Hillary.
