Imagine that a Republican state attorney general had been forced to resign after being convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice. Now imagine how the story would have been played on MSNBC. Fair to assume that the word “Republican” would have featured in the story’s first sentence?
But in a stand-alone segment on today’s Hardball on the forced resignation of Kathleen Kane, the Pennsylvania AG who was convicted on nine charges, host Chris Matthews failed to ever mention, and the screen graphics never revealed, that Kane is a Democrat. Kane had illegally leaked secret grand jury documents to harm a rival prosecutor, then lied about it under oath.

Matthews was born and raised in Philly and attended Lasalle HS there. He then went to college at Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
He didn’t fail. He succeeded.
The other trick is for a Dem member of the house to have a scandal....the media will always use “Rep. John Doe accused of X” - trying to make you think it’s a republican and not Representative...

On a side note, I notice that whenever someone opposes Trump from the GOPe they prominently note over and over “REPUBLICAN SO AND SO BACKING HILLARY” or whatever.
Why do I never hear them mention “DEMOCRAT SHERIFF CLARKE” backing Donald Trump?
Sheriff Clarke is a great man, and it should be made mention to all that he is black, a democrat and backing Trump.
Hell will freeze over before they mention the party affiliation of an Dem caught in a crime or any Dem backing Trump, much less a black man.
Matthews has a brother who’s still in Phila area, and is purportedly a conservative Republican and at one time had considered running for Congress under the GOP banner (long time ago).
A Wet Floor....sign would be better.
