Pennsylvania's first elected female attorney general announced her resignation Tuesday, a day after being convicted of abusing the powers of the state's top law enforcement office to smear a rival and lying under oath to cover it up.
Democrat Kathleen Kane's exit completes a spectacular fall for the former county prosecutor who soared to victory four years ago as an outsider promising to break up an "old-boys' network" in state government. She squandered her early popularity, feuded with rivals and aides and ultimately was undone by what prosecutors portrayed as a personal vendetta against her critics and perceived enemies.

All indications were she was NOT going to do this.
She did not resign when her law license was yanked last year. She was planning to hang tough to the bitter end.
I am sure the national Democrat Party came down on her head and said in very direct terms “you must go now!”. The parallels to Hillary are just to numerous and too uncomfortable.
I’m really disappointed!
I thought she would hang in there through the appeals process and only resign when all appeals had been exhausted!
Wouldn’t it have been loverly!..................
What you did there............I SEE IT.........
She’ll do three months in some minimum-security resort.
Then the Democrats will set her up in a cushy job at some think-tank or nonprofit. They always take care of their own.
Well her career and life are in ruins.....she’s getting divorced, too, and owes her soon-to-be-ex $1.6 million, I read. Her legal bills must be out of control.
That can all be a wee bit upsetting.
Maybe Bill Clinton can help her out.
Someone has probably promised her big help down the road in exchange for her quick resignation. Soros? Bill Clinton??
oops, I thought I was replying to someone else’s comment, oh well....
