Issue One!
I haven’t watch that show since I was a teen in the mid-90s, and I still remember how much I enjoyed it on Friday nights.
I seriously needed to get out more back then.
Don’t forget “Freddie the Beetle Barnes.”
“Jack Germond was kind of a dick.”
I always thought he tossed back a few drinks before coming on! LOL!
Wow, had no idea he was still around and doing the show ... gave up TV a while back.
RIP, Mr. McLaughlin

The Elves.
Jack Germond said one of the most memorable things out of the whole 34 years:
“The Reagan people came to Washington to do something. The Bush [41] people came to Washington to be somebody.”
I agree. Rukeyser turned me on to investing at a young age.
I liked the opening sequence...

That encapsulates one of the biggest problems with all the national RINOs (and now #NeverTrumpers) nicely: they care mainly about trying to “be” among the “important people” of DC, the liberals and Mediascum. They are so susceptible to the influences of the MSM because they care mainly about being well thought of, being invited to the right parties, etc etc.
I did!
So sad, I had watch him for many years in the 90’s . RIP
He was anti Iraqi war during GWB. Turns out he was right.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that McLaughlin was a moderate Nixon Republican rather than a conservative per se.
Still, I always liked his persona and his wit. RIP.
Not only was Eleanor Clift a Clinton shill, but she seemed to take pride in looking, sounding, and acting just like Hillary. I really couldn't stand her either.
On the other hand, McLaughlin had another liberal on his show who I actually found likeable and entertaining - the recently deceased Jack Germond. It seemed like Germond was there to remind people of what Truman-Kennedy style Democrats were like, before they became the party of radical lunacy.
Classic.
“One of the best skits on SNL.”
My thought went there, too. I had to take another look...

RIP John.
Perfect, Laz!
Well, William F Buckley’s Crossfire was on PBS too, I think.
Sorry forgot about Lou.
Maybe because he was finance not politics.
Looked forward to him weekly and learned a lot
For so many of us, for four decades he was part and parcel of our "Training Wheels 101" for watching, absorbing and assessing political TV media in action.
RIP, thou good and faithful newsman.
