Published on Aug 13, 2016 WikiLeaks' Assange - TPP Not Only Trade, 83% Is Fascists Controlling Our Daily Lives - Once We're In, We're Stuck Forever
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange knows more about the contents of the TPP than most members of Congress and is doing much more to inform the American public than any of our so-called representatives with the lone exception of Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL). He has no restrictions other than his politically-motivated confinement to the Ecuadorian Embassy in London on his freedom to disclose the truth to the world and he is sounding the alarm.
Assange described it in a Democracy Now interview as being not formally classified but being treated as if it is classified in terms of how the information is being managed. He says, It is very well-guarded from the press and the majority of people and even from Congressman, but 600 U.S. companies are part of the process and have been given access to various parts of the TPP.
He continues, Its the largest ever international economic treaty that has ever been negotiated. Very, considerably larger than NAFTA, it is mostly not about trade. Only five of the twenty-nine chapters are about traditional trade. The others are about regulating the Internet. Internet service providers have to collect information; they have to hand it over to companies under certain circumstances. Its about regulating labor, what labor conditions can be applied, regulating whether you can favor a local industry, regulating the hospital health care system, privatization of hospitals.
Essentially every aspect of the modern economy, says Assange, even banking services, are in the TPP. So that is erecting and embedding a new, ultra-modern neo-liberal structure in U.S. law and in the laws of the other countries that are participating.
Assange notes that because it is in a treaty form, it is very very hard to overturn, requiring agreement of the other nations involved. He gives examples of how this will most certainly be abused if its approved and points out that the enhanced ability to sue and intimidate governments only applies to the large, multinational corporations. Corporations owned and operated solely within the United States are at a disadvantage in that regard to the unconstitutional advantages provide to the multinationals.
He addresses the chilling effect of intimidation and the wide ranging impact it will have as a result of threatened lawsuits, from the prospect of the legal expenses alone.
This treaty is the antithesis of what America is built upon. Its no surprise that the global Marxist Obama is its greatest champion. What is surprising is that Republicans are his most vocal and ardent cheerleaders.
Theres a stench rising from the McConnell / Boehner Congress. Thats what treason smells like. _______________________________________________________
Those charges are also being dropped by the Swedes.
I guess the alternative is to just quit prosecuting rape cases because rapists can't get a fair trial. Maybe we could put that on the ballot.
Yeah, and maybe that should matter.
“Until this guy shows up to face the rape charges against him, I am going to assume that he is desperate enough to lie to me if he feels it will help him escape justice. I think that there are better sources of information for me.”
I would recommend the exact opposite approach: As long as the corrupt globalist agenda being exposed by Assange continues to be highly credible, profoundly valuable and totally unavailable through alternative sources, I will assume the rape charges against him are politically motivated crap, and continue to hang on his every word.
The lying MSM no longer controls the news. Old school TV network news is the final stop for those drooling in cups who simply do not know any better.
SO you seriously don’t think that dozens of governments, international companies, spy agencies all couldn’t easily set up Assange for a sex charge?
Even Billy Graham had his staff go into hotel rooms before he entered to make sure he wasn’t set up his entire career. Easy allegation to make.
You a Hillary supporter? Don’t like to see the truth exposed, do you?
I thought I read today they dropped the rape charges.
I continue to believe that Trump will pull this out, but it will not be because some of his followers worship Putin or rape fugitives. If I were to think for a moment that I was part of a movement that had become dependent on a killer like Putin or a rape fugitive like Assange, I would have real doubts about that movement.
But, I don't think that I can help you with that. You need to worship whatever leaders might turn you on.
OH AREN’T we the little SAINT!!!
Where the heck do you get off with that attitude when the whole darn government is corrupt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess you don’t think Trump/Pence are quite ‘PURE’ enough either...
GEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cruz, Bush, and Romney support TPP because
it is SECRET and steals from America.
They are they scum that attack Mr. Trump
through their paid surrogates and slaves
to steal votes and -— for the third election in a row —
help the Democrats tank America.

Why wouldn't he lie to you or me?
You needn't answer that because it's a rhetorical question. Of course, he would lie to you and me. I will start believing him when he starts telling the truth.
We don't need liars on our side.
I wouldn’t doubt they would drop them. I always suspected they were bogus charges, and Assange is not the type they’d want to go up against with a bogus case.
My point was - even if the charges were true, you’d have to be nuts to ignore what Assange has to say - it rings true to my ears - he seems highly credible.
And the idea that there are “better sources of information”. Duh! What better sources? He’s the only source - that’s the whole point.
Assange is right about this.
How can Assange present his defense if he won't even show up for the trial? He promised his friends (the ones who posted his bail) that he would show up. Where is he?
PING!!!

Thanks, TigerClaws
Why do I trust him. Well when was this treaty details published? Never so why not?? Surely if what he says is not true the would put it out publicly and discredit him. Therefore I believe him over our lying devilish leaders.
Assange is dodging these rape charges because he lied to the court and because he lied to his friends about his intention to appear to face the charges. His friends put up money to post his bail. Then he screwed his friends.
I just don't know how to tell you when a liar is telling the truth. You shouldn't believe anything he says.
Sidebar question: Who leaked the identities of locals we were working with in Afghanistan? Was it Wikileaks or was it Bradley Manning?
