1) In Luke 2:24 two doves are sacrificed in the temple to consecrate Jesus to God.

2) If Israel ever manages to evict the moslems from the temple mount and rebuild the third temple, the orthodox fully intend to resume animal sacrifice in the temple.

3) The moslems also sacrifice animals for religious purposes.
