Mika Worries More Hillary Emails Could Cause ‘Epic Implosion’ That Would ‘Bring Down Campaign’
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/11/2016 6:13:32 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

A few days ago in our Quick Hits feature, this Insurrectionist wrote “the server is a Sword of Damocles over Hillary’s campaign. Whatever the polls may say, Clinton knows that she is just one disclosure away from disaster.” Has Mika Brzezinski heard the hair holding that Sword start to fray? Today’s Morning Joe reported on the disclosure that a senior Clinton Foundation official had contacted close Hillary advisers Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills to request, as something “very important,” that they set up a contact between a billionaire foreign Foundation donor and the US ambassador to Lebanon.

Reacting, Mika said “as a Clinton supporter, I think the bigger question is, what is going to come out? Could something big come out? Could we have implosion of epic proportions. Could you say that the candidate you support doesn’t have something lurking here that could bring down her campaign?”

One picture with Bill and an underaged girl would do it.

“Clinton is in real trouble.”

Sez you.

Hillary has enormous built-in advantages that will be extremely difficult for Trump to overcome.

Here the deal..its a safe bet alot of different groups have those emails, Wikileaks has them the Russians have them, the Chinese have them..ISIS probably have some.

So those that have them have little leverage to say I won’t release them if you do this ...because someone else will release them

Hillary outsmarted herself

She thought she was being clever doing the Homebrew server so she could bypass Freedom of Information Act and do dirt in secret

With her crappie home brew security instead of a fully protected federal system, all she did was the open herself up to being hacked by every Power in the world (and running a secret server advertised all the actors that there was going to be a lot of really juicy dirt on it.. she created the ultimate hacker Honeypot). Now everybody has the dirt on her..

So maybe one group could blackmail her with them but if 20 groups have them ...they’re all that different agendas so effectively she can’t pay 20 groups different ransoms to keep her secrets ...they’re going to come out

I think you are right, but what do you figure Plan B might entail? Biden & Kaine, or Biden and Pocohauntas???

It’s not for the want of money she dresses so badly...those tent tops she wears that hang down past her knees are costly and custom made to hide something. Speculation is the coverage is not just to cover figure faults which is my guess, but medical equipment of some sort, while others speculate it’s to cover diapers for senior incontinence. What she wears is the least of my worries, what she IS, is! (Once again faced with the meaning of “is”.)

At this point Clinton could be caught in bed with a live girl, a dead boy, and half of the U.S. treasury...

It's 'trickle down media corruption' from The New York Times and Washington Post... Because those papers have had to downsize so much (bias caused them to lose half their readers) they MUST count on democrat War Rooms feeding them stories. That's WHY they're in the tank for democrats... dependency.

Personally, I think it is Biden/Pocahontas.

Kaine is a drip and he will be shown the door, with appropriate parting prizes.

Mika,

What's the worry?

I mean, really, it will take some serious media outrage from the revelations to cause an "epic implosion" big enough to "bring down the campaign."

That's not going to happen.

The media is so invested in Clinton that they would report the 5un revolves around the Earth if that's what they thought it would take to get Hillary elected.

They couldn't careless about what might be in those emails. That's old school journalism - this is new school now!

I wish this were true... but as most of us know, the Clinton’s have always been brandished with slime, and it just causes people to shrug. There will be those who still hold their nose and vote for her. That said, I observe social media for work purposes... and I’ve seen quite a few statements in black social media converging Hillary and Trump as one and the same. This does not bode well for Hillary, as there is no ground swell of support for her, and GOTV needs adherents.

Trump inspires a love/hate response. There’s a lot of enthusiastic support (where Hillary has very little), but I’m concerned it seems to drop off fast at a point lower than what he needs to win. Hillary’s support, while tepid, is about equal to his. Doesn’t matter how enthusiastic a vote is so long as it’s a vote.
Trump’s problem with Hillary dropping out is: Kaine will get all her votes, plus enough relieved “never Hillary” Democrats to ensure a win.

Lest we forget, the actual candidates being elected by popular election, under rules defined by each state, are candidates for elector.

The actual presidential election occurs when the votes of the electors are tallied in the House of Representatives. So the effect of the death of a presidential candidate before those electoral votes are cast - they are cast by electors meeting in their home states, after the electors themselves are elected - would be to make the electors, originally placed on the ballot because they were pledged to vote for the (now dearly departed) presidential candidate - free agents.

With perhaps a majority of winning elector candidates unpledged, the result could be a failure of the electors to cast an absolute majority in favor of a single candidate - thus throwing the race into the House of Representatives. But in the House, the only candidates the House could consider would be the top three votegetters in the Electoral Vote. Importantly, the vote for POTUS is not “one congressman, one vote,” but rather “one state delegation, one vote. Consequently the Republicans, who benefit in the House from a natural gerrymander effect, would tend to control the selection of the POTUS.
