Things got real personal Tuesday night between CNN’s Don Lemon and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino while discussing Donald Trump’s much maligned comment on Second Amendment supporters possibly stopping rival Hillary Clinton.
Perhaps Lemon took exception to Bongino summarizing the hyperventilating on the left as being “in the comical realm.”
Either way, Bongino correctly labeled the charge that Trump was somehow calling for the assassination of Clinton as “absurd” while explaining his point of view.
Throwing any pretense of neutrality out the window, Lemon clearly did not agree with that point of view.
“What you’re saying right now makes no sense!” the CNN host charged. “I’m sitting at home, I’m watching Donald Trump. I have two ears and I have two eyes and I can see the reactions… We’re not stupid!”
“You should be ashamed of yourself!” Lemon added.
“I’m ashamed that you’re talking to me as if I’m a child!” his guest fired back, as the two began going at one another.
“You don’t know crap about this, Don! You’re a TV guy!” Bongino said. “I was a Secret Service Agent! Now cut off my mic! Do what you wanna do!”
Lemon countered by telling Bongino he was “lying to the American people,” prompting Bongino to again correctly label the left’s reaction as “nonsense.”
Nonsense being a generous assessment…

That it what it is. Seems like lemon and the rest of the fruits calling themselves joorn all ists think elections are a big popularity contest. And no matter how many of them still try, they will never make it past the second grade.

Great job by Bongino. The only thing he didn’t bring up that he should have was Obama’s “they bring a knife, we bring a gun” comment in 2008. A direct call to violence, and no one like Toobin or the gerbil smuggler Don Lemon ever had a problem with that.

Trump insiders made it clear what he meant, that he hopes 2nd Amendment “single issue type” voters can make a big difference in the swing states to give Trump the victory in November.
The people who immediately jump to the conclusion that Trump was calling for the assassination of a candidate really need to check themselves. Why would they ascribe horrible motives to this 70 year old man, a businessman who has been in the public eye for decades and who has shown no proclivity to violence, and who has contributed personally and financially to improve the lives of people in his city and country? IMO, part of it stems from the suspicious motives they ascribe to gun owners.
This mass media hysteria says more about the minds of the media mavens than it says about Trump. Trump is a straight shooter (pun intended), he says what he wants to say and the media knows this as well as anybody because they vilify him for it. He doesn’t always deliver the typically sleek rehearsed phrases of a professional politician - few people who speak at length and off the cuff deliver perfect diction and devoid of ambiguity. Any person who speaks off the cuff at length every day is going to utter a thought that isn’t quite as clear in words as it was intended, and journalists are supposed to give some benefit of the doubt and seek clarification from the candidates. But the media is so apoplectic over Trump’s strength that they have thrown ethics and standards out the window, retching their unhinged fantasies over the air. And I do mean fantasies, because these are their interpretations as filtered through their own biases and the belief that Trump - the man they have known for decades - is evil. Even when they are given a clarification they refuse to accept it and continue to push this chimera of a narrative.
And that is a topic of its own to explore. Trump is a well known personality and public figure. He’s been in the public eye for decades, and never has he been thought of in the way they are portraying him now. All this vitriol started after he won the primary. It is very troubling that the media has now created this fiction, and the NYT opinion piece (and others) have come right out and said that “journalists have to go on the attack because he is evil and journalists have a duty to expose it”. That is 100% pure rationalization. The MSM has dropped the pretense that they were ever impartial, and use this fantastic fiction that Trump is some kind of unhinged evil incarnate to rationalize their open display of bias.
This in itself is a slippery slope, for the MSM will never revert to the mean and pretend to be impartial again. Once they have thrown it out it is not coming back, but that is yet another topic to explore another time. But their deceit is plain to see by all. If Trump was really such a danger to the country that the members of the media believe they have a moral obligation to expose it, then why did they wait until after the primaries to do it? Why didn’t they rise and warn the people during the primaries in order to ensure he would not get close to the White House? After all if he did not win the primary he would have no chance and we’d all be safe. But they didn’t, which strongly implies that they are using this dissimulation to deceive their readers into accepting their open support for Hillary and to justify in their own minds the abandonment of the ethics and practices that traditionally govern their profession.
Bongino owned Lemon.
I happened to see this last night when I was channel surfing. CNN has totally lost their last shred of credibility if they keep the lemon on after this.

Did you notice Lemon’s mic had considerably more gain than Bongino’s? FUCNN!
Would Donny Lemon scream, Mitt his pants or both? The pay-per-view would make a PILE of money...
I really strained to watch the whole video.
Lemon’s bias makes me nauseous.
