The U.S. Secret Service says it has spoken to the Donald Trump campaign about Second Amendment comments the GOP nominee for president made yesterday that rival Hillary Clinton called a casual inciting of violence.

Feds released a statement. Nobody interviewed the Trump campaign about this.
The real question is, why is it still up?
The media is an echo chamber. One says its lie and the others repeat ... no original or second sourcing anything.
I’d still like to know why someone would knowingly post a story they knew was BS. Seems a bit odd from my perspective.
They already have stated this never happened.
Other than the fact that this story is fake (as posters above me pointed out), I fail to understand how encouraging people to get out and vote against a liberal is a threat.
This incident concerns me. The left projects. So when they try to claim that telling people to get out and vote is actually inciting them to violence, it must mean that they are planning to become violent against their political opponents.
Yup. Debunked. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3458441/posts
Is there a Pinkbell anywhere?
They’re over the edge.
But that said, I won’t start it. Still believe in the ballot box. May be niave, but I do.
That said, if they want to escalate, all I have to say is bring it #####es. You’ll lose. Badly.
Official: No formal Secret Service discussions with Trump camp on remark

A federal official on Wednesday denied a news report that the U.S. Secret Service had formally spoken with Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign regarding his suggestion a day earlier that gun rights activists could stop Democratic rival Hillary Clinton from curtailing their access to firearms.
Pushing back against a CNN report that the law enforcement agency had had “more than one” exchange with the Trump camp about the remark, an official familiar with the matter told Reuters there had been no formal conversations with the campaign regarding the comment made to supporters the day before.

As usual SF news outlets are a joke
Original article said USSS had spoken with Trump.
Article you quoted says USSS denied they ‘formally’ spoke with Trump.
Trump is under USSS protection, therefore they have 24/7 access to him. A simple ‘dude, you can’t go around saying stuff like that; lay off’ could easily been told to him ‘informally’ and the USSS deny any formal meeting.
It’s all in the wording.
Trump probably has lawyers on retainer just waiting for something to do.
He should get them busy filling multi-million dollar lawsuits against nincompoops in the media who make up these stories or who twist and exaggerate the truth.
This Secret Service meeting with the Trump campaign is pure B.S.
Donald J. Trump Verified account:
@realDonaldTrump
Reuters just announced that Secret Service never spoke to me or my campaign. Made up story by @CNN is a hoax. Totally dishonest.
Clinton herself already encouraged her followers to kill trump a few weeks ago.
Not me-thats why I asked the question.

Your question was;
“You mean that there are NO laws against printing lies now?”
+++
My answer: Based on the history I am aware of in this realm, no, there are no laws against printing lies or slander.
The only, only, exception I am aware of in which slander was punished is the Gawker case.
All others have got by with lies.
Wait a minute! Another FORMER SS official? Like the FORMER CIA intern running for president?
As of 5 minutes ago CNN still standing by the story.
