Under any scenario, however, the very fact of the McMullin candidacy is almost certain to have a major impact on the Republican electorate. Anyone can see this by heading over to large conservative communities like Free Republic where the members are positively incensed at McMullins bid and at the people backing him.
Free Republic is an interesting case because, by and large, its members are more conservative than the Republican Party and also a majority of the membership took a long time to come around to support Trump during the GOP primaries. Initially, Anybody-But-Trump was the leading candidate with many favoring Ted Cruz. Since Trump became the presumptive nominee, however, Free Republic has closed ranks and began backing Trump to the hilt.
The grassroots Right seems to be responding to the McMullin candidacy the same way they did to Ted Cruzs refusal to endorse Donald Trump at last months GOP convention: hot anger at an insider who won't abide the people's choice.
These mother #####ers are really pressing their luck, argued member dp0622. I see a Bastille Day in their future.

As a CIA and Goldman Sachs alum, shouldn’t he be Hillary’s running mate? The incompetent assclowns who run the CIA and gave us ISIS simply LOVE Hillary.
I am very well aware of how the process works.
I am also very well aware how left-wing the GOP Members really are, and how much of their personal future wealth is at stake should Trump become President.
Who?
And dp0622 - congrats on getting noticed.
Ya got Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Reform, Prohibition, Peace and Freedom, American Independent, American Freedom, and four or five Socialist candidates.
Why would anybody bother voting for this guy?
I’ve seen. We are now officially climbing up the list of the first they’ll come to get :)
#### it. At least they spelled #### right :)
These SOBs wont stop pushing. We can push back.
If I dont post for 48 hours, you’ll know what happened!!
They think we’re mad now. Wait till they try and run this guy.
Trump will have to hit him fast and hard and bury him (rhetorically speaking)
Like I said, at least they spelled #### right :)
No, his presidential run will be an asterisk in the history books.
Yeah, I got my new card with Conservative on it a few weeks ago, but even they’re acting like jerks.
And after being quoted, I dont think i’ll be welcome in the conservative party anymore :)
Evan who? That was my response also.
McMullin; is that in another McDonalds happy meal?
Is it like a McDonut instead of a McMuffin?
You didn’t miss anything; just another REPUBLICRAT offering of a new Happy Meal.
It’s rigged!
These SOBs wont stop pushing. We can push back.
Yep, we can and must push back.
Hey Wilson; You F#CKSTICK, your old GOPHER party purged me when you nominated;
READ MY LIPS BUSH——————BAD VP/WORSE PRESIDENT.
I’M BOB VIAGRA DOLE—— THE LIMP PINEAPPLE.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED W-2——NWO SELLOUT.
I’M A MAVERICK IDIOT McSWINE——PSYCHOPATHIC QUITTER.
MAGIC UNDERWEAR MYTH RUMMY——THE MODERATOR SAYS BOO AND I FAINT.
So your party managed to purge me, along with any other conservative republican voters a long time ago, just about RONALD REAGAN’S last day in office.
So you better hope your HAG HILLARY wins; because when WE do, I hope to see IMPALEMENT reinstituted as punishment for TRANS/NWO traitors
Come to think of it haven’t heard from Little Willie Kristol in quite a while, is he butthurt because he’s made such an ass of himself?
“But Oklahoma is not in question.”
Doesn’t matter. Just wanted to point out the fallacy in your statement there. Not everyone can vote for a last minute candidate, nor write-in a candidate.
All states are not alike. Thank God.
Not everyone need do so to screw up this election!
Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida, each could do the trick.
The Republican party is dead if Trump doesn’t win in November - the half of the party which supports him enthusiastically will rightfully blame the foot-dragging half for his loss, for the disaster that eight years of Hillary will cause in this country, and will never, ever forgive the Republican Party for failing to live up to what is a party’s first obligation - to support its members in the quest for governmental power.....
