One of the big questions heading into the Democratic National Convention late last month was whether Hillary Clinton could rally Bernie Sanders supporters to her side. Before the convention, many Sanders supporters said they would support Clinton in a two-way matchup against Donald Trump, but when pollsters offered them third-party candidates as an option, they abandoned her.
Then, on the first night of the convention, Sanders gave his big speech urging his voters to support Clinton, and we can now see that the convention did help persuade some Sanders voters to switch. But about a third of Sanderss voters are undecided or still going with a third-party candidate when given the choice.
--------------------------------------
Without third-party candidates, Clinton was already doing much better with Bernies fans. Still, the convention helped: She moved from 79 percent up to 91 percent among Sanders supporters in CNNs polls, 68 percent to 75 percent per Marist, and 59 percent to 65 percent in YouGovs surveys.
But the sizable portion of Sanders supporters defecting from Clinton when given other options could still be a problem for the Clinton campaign if the election tightens.

“if the election tightens” ..the lead based on oversampled Dems.
The translation is, if a huge chuck of Bernie and Black voters stay home....game over.
Hillary won’t get a good bit of Bernie supporters.. .she’ll get the folks who would vote D no matter what, but of those younger wide eyed ones who honestly thought Bernie was serious with his nonsense and not just a tool being used by the Clinton machine... those will stay home, or may just be disillusioned enough to vote Trump.
There’s no enthusiasm for Crooked Hillary - significant portion will stay home... its all about turnout.
We have a legit chance of a huge chunk of Bernie supporters staying home. I think Clinton believes they will come around eventually, but they see no difference between Clinton and Trump. So they will stay home; they will not vote for Trump.
It’s pretty clear Clinton is going all-out for the black vote with her embrace of BLM and dissing of the police. Whether that translates into genuine enthusiasm to vote on the part of black people is questionable.
From the looks of her “rallies,” Clinton will need a lot of normally reliable democrats to vote “absentee” to steal this election.
The communist left has already gerrymandered the polls and the communist left media has blatantly thrown their support behind Hillary against the American people! Both Bernie supporters & Trump supporters.
It will be all of us who must decide the steps we will be willing to take after so grievous a wrong is perpetrated against the American people as to steal an election and give it to a person who’s humanity is so evil and base as Hillary Clinton!
Unfortunately, it’s the same for a bunch of GOPe supporters.
The Bernie supporters in O’Keefe’s undercover DNC video were certainly a bitter, Hillary-hating bunch.
I’m the majority will “mysteriously” have their votes go to Hillary despite not showing up to vote.
I wonder what the true numbers are with Bernie supporters going to Jill Stein?
Well, she’s ahead in the polls by 600 points right now so I don’t guess they’ll be missed.
I bet it’s more than a third. ;’}
Only 1/3 could figure the DNC rigged it for Hillary?
