The Germans won.
HA!
“The west is the best”
Merkel was probably rooting for the Muzzies.
I am astonished that they were even allowed to wear leggings. The women covering themselves is to prove that they are invisible in public. They must have a male relative accompany them when they are in outside world.
They are showing the contours of their body, their bare hands and feet. Somewhere in the Muslim world scimitars are sharpening for these women.
Looks like they were playing at night. I wonder how they compete in the hot sun?
They should just be grateful their husbands let them play....
Women are property nothing more... at least in these societies.
Islamic countries will demand EVERYBODY wear the “modest” outfit, to be “fair”.
Women’s Beach volleyball, the only sport worth watching.
As much as I like to see beautiful girls, there is something a bit disgusting about the tiny bikinis some girl’s volleyball players wear.
It is a sport not a display.
I also can’t stand the full covering of Islamic countries.
Just wear loose shorts and light shirt. They will look just as good, if they are in fact pretty.
Don’t worry.
Germans will be dressed like that before too long.
To be honest I find both outfits ridiculous and very telling of what’s wrong with both cultures. One too restrictive, the other too permissive. One leads to cultural atrophy the other to cultural rot.
I keep thinking that the outcome of this culture war will be to meet in the middle somewhere, or that some other more sensible, middle of the road culture will end up dominating.
I think the beach volleyball “clothes” are softcore porn I do not want to watch people competing in their very tight underwear. Perhaps I am in the minority on FR anymore.
Given the sanitary standards of these Olympics, covering up may prevent flesh-eating bacterial infections, Zika transmission, and implantation of botfly eggs.
Despite how much I hate the Islamic culture, I have to give a hand to those girls, who despite the oppression they live in, still represented their country in the Olympic games..
Good for them
