Trump pollster: 'There's a big hidden Trump vote'
Washington Examiner ^ | 8/7/16 | Paul Bedard

Posted on 08/07/2016 5:02:27 PM PDT by Angels27

They're not exactly the Nixon era "silent majority," but both Republican and Democratic pollsters claim that there is a secret vote for Donald Trump showing up in some polls.

The Trump campaign on Sunday stated flatly there is a "big hidden Trump vote" in the nation.

And during the recent Democratic convention, a top pollster agreed, saying there is a "secret Trump vote."

Longtime Republican pollster and Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway explained on the Today show that the hidden vote is seen when anonymous online polls are compared to phone call interview polls where people have to be more public in stating who they support.

For example, the new Reuters poll had Trump and Hillary Clinton just three points apart, where others that are phone survey based out Sunday showed a greater gap.

"The Reuters poll, which is an online poll, where Donald Trump is three points behind Hillary Clinton nationally, and I think that the important point to note there is that when you have online polls as opposed to telephone polls, Mr. Trump tends to do better, and that's because the online polls approximate the ballot box, where you're issuing your vote privately," she said.

"We think there's a big hidden Trump vote in this country," said Conway, who added that Trump internal polls project "tighter" results in battleground states.

That looks about right. Trump needs to spend all of his time in Florida and Ohio.

I’m in north florida, and support for Trump in Florida is good. however here in Jax I rarely see signs or bumper stickers. I now have 2 Trump bumper stickers (original from primary and now also a trump/pence) I do get the occaisional honk or someone yelling “go trump” out the window though lol. Friday on a rare night out on the way home we had a guy honking and yelling out the window go trump! build the wall! etc etc lol. no stickers on his car but this guy was a full on trumpster LOL!
many folks who come by where I work are for trump- everybody from cops to coaches to the UPS guy.

I believe it to be true. Just came from a family reunion. Talking to an 88 year old brother in law who has never voted for a republican in his lifetime. He confessed that he’s voting for Trump this year.

Here in Washington state I have seen one Shillary sign. There were a lot of Bernie bumper stickers but they are gone now.

I have seen no Trump signs in my area north of Seattle, but out on the Washington coast a week ago there were many HUGE Trump signs. No Shillary.

So it looks like Seattle area Bern supporters will probably split up their votes between Trump, Shillary and maybe Johnson.

The outlying areas are all Trump, it would appear.

I’m starting to see more and more Trump signs on lawns and on cars. I saw a few Bernie signs during the primaries.

I’ve yet to see one Hillary sign or sticker.

Visited friends who had a county fair in a battleground county and there was a Republican tent and Democratic tent. The Republican tent had a voter registration pad out and had trump signs. Tent was busy. I asked the worker if many people were registering and she said yeah and many said they were democrats. When I walked by Democratic tent the worker there was all alone only to be accompanied by a cardboard cut out of Hillary(ous).

People who will vote for Trump just aren’t telling anyone about it to avoid the grief they’ll get from friends, relatives, co-workers and the like

Just look at how the treat Trump supporters on the tele. They act as though the thought of anyone supporting Trump is so bizarre that it cannot possibly happen.

No problem. Get a friendly judge to rule in your favor and get that case to the Supreme Court. Tie goes to the dim’s. The federal courts are way past corrupt. They are a Marxist oligarchy.

The lame stream media just doesn’t want us to know

I have 4 bumper stickers on my pickup truck! Some dude gave them to me at a rally. My mom bought a Trump flag that is pretty cool for her trailer. It’s right up there with old glory and the rebel flag!

Sure, because those folks at work-a-day, while the ones that support Hillary are bloated leeches committed to sitting on their voluminous posteriors talking about free college and reparations.

The work-a-day folks are going to come out in droves.

Before or after work.

In 2008 & 2012, there was war fatigue against the Bush instigated Iraq war AND Obama cleverly exploited that angst by declaring ending Iraq war as top priority. Also, Obama was loved by “brothers”. That is why Bradley effect was not strong enough to cause a win for Romney or McCain.

In 2016, I see no 96% love for Hillary from any voter block, like Obama received in both elections. On top of that, Hillary is hated by more than Trump is hated. Trump effect is more potent than Bradley effect IMO.

Yes, forget Bradley effect. Trump effect will be more potent. There is no 96% Hillary loving constituency in 2016, like Obama had in both elections.
