The pace of Syrian refugees entering the U.S. has surged in recent weeks, government figures show, putting the Obama administration on track to meet its target of admitting 10,000 Syrian refugees before the end of September -– and reviving Republican concerns about the security implications.
State Department reports show that 2,340 Syrian refugees arrived last month in the United States.
That's more than what occurred during the entire seven months after President Obama directed his team to prepare for 10,000 admissions from the war-torn country. Total admissions for the current budget year, which ends Sept. 30, now come to about 7,900, and the vast majority of them are Sunni Muslims, records show.
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said earlier this week the U.S. is on track to meet the 10,000-refugee goal.
If the pace from June and July continues this month, the target should be reached with a couple of weeks to spare, before Obama heads to the United Nations to urge world leaders to admit more refugees and increase funding for relief organizations.
But amid new predictions from FBI Director James Comey of a “terrorist diaspora out of Syria,” some Republicans are ramping up warnings that the flow of refugees poses a threat to America and Western Europe.

Syrian refugees my ass. With all of the countries in the world currently taking in “syrian” refugees, the country of syria should be completely de-populated by now.
So explain to me how a pitched battle can,be going on in a basically de-populated country?
I call BS on this one. There’s more syrian refugees wandering around than actual syrians that exist on the planet.
Regardless, deny them entry into the US. Tell the saudis or iranins to take them in.
I don't think Syria was an Islamist country but Islamists are using this opportunity.
The Islamists’ patented consanguinity technology has enabled them to produce tens of thousands of “high-tech” weapons annually — at little or no cost for the Islamists.
The weapons are mass produced in Islamist societies by 40-percent or so of the population.
The Islamists even deploy their weapons and weapons producing facilities to welcoming countries all over the world. More here in the FR thread.
Once in the enemy countries the Islamists' weapons use politically correct-based stealth technology to openly carry out attacks but avoid detection.
Simply turning us into another French-Islamic “Republic”. Live free or die. We need to reacquaint ourselves with what the Founders knew intimately.
It’s enraging that Republicans undermine Trump when this obvious threat continues. They go along with the racist bigot charges and act as if Hillary is a better choice. This is treason. Illegal immigration and Islamic invasion are the real reason Trump is where he is and they are the most important issues this time. Too many enemies within.
The Saudis have been using their American provided petrol cash to fly them (Muslim infiltrators) to America for decades. Our government looks the other way. Now that the Muslims have almost totally reconquered Europe, we’re coming up next in their sights.

If our enemy media would ever accurately report how this “refugee” situation is affecting France and Germany, the outrage would halt this invasion.
AND if we had a Senate and House that had a spine and balls, Barky wouldn’t be in office right now to do this, but we don’t so all we can do is get Trump into the Oval Office to stop this nonsense....

Why do these politicians want the United States to import Syrian refuges and provide a better lifestyle than our own, truly poor Americans, here in the USA?
No one has asked the question. Instead we have prayer vigils after Americans are slaughtered and hold no one accountable.
The short answer is to destroy America and our Judeo-Christian heritage.
