Hundreds, maybe even a thousand disappointed supporters were not permitted into the convention center. It was full. Still, the orderly yet electric crowd cheered when Trump's motorcade arrived an hour late, led by several motorcycle cops. Police were everywhere. Was Obama in town? No, Donald Trump.
There were protesters, around seven of them, totally ignored by the masses of Trump supporters.
What struck me most was the extremely broad range of Trump supporters, from young people covered head to toe with piercings and tattoos to distinguished, well dressed seniors and every demographic in between. Clearly, these people were super-excited about seeing and hearing Trump.

Trump needs to send someone to follow HilLIARy around and take pictures of her empty rallies. The media won’t show it
Romney had big crowds while Obama had small crowds.
Palin drew big crowds.
Don’t get too excited.
Romney never had crowds this size
Not even close
Not even close
And not day after day even during the hottest part of the summer.
How many can that venue in Daytona hold?
Maybe if she was the top of the ticket we would have won. McCain sure didn't excite anyone.
That Marist poll was national. We do not have a national election. All they had to do was concentrate the poll in the urban areas of blue states to get Clinton that lead.
We have 50 state elections, plus DC, plus territories and commonwealths.I think we have one unpopulated territory and the addition of territories, DC and commonwealths is how zer0 got his “57 states’ comment.
“Romney had big crowds while Obama had small crowds”
Lets give that false meme a rest. Romney did not go around the country giving 1-2 rallies practically everyday for over a year. The Trump phenomenon is a grassroots movement. Romney also did not pull from the demographics Trump is pulling from.
The MSM is pulling out all the stops to smear Trump and give a false impression that a boozy old crook is leading him in the polls by 10-15 pts. Simply not believable.
Really miss Lloyd Marcus— he used to post here on FR quite a bit in the past. What a talented guy he is.
First off Romney never had crowds this size nor did they show the kind of enthusiasm that Trump's crowds show. Romney elicited about as much excitement from his crowds as a glass of warm day old milk. Romney was the designated loser and his campaigning style showed it.
Palin drew big crowds but McCain (and Romney behind the scenes) scuttled her every chance they got. McCain was the designated loser and it showed in how he ran his campaign. (suspending his campaign to run back to DC to "Save" the Country while Obama kept campaigning. Firing staff members who dared use Obama's middle name, Hussein.)
Trump is no McCain and no Romney. That's why our enemies fear him. No Mr. Nice Guy and they can't figure out how to respond other than to stamp their feet, hold their breath and call him names. Plus they will just out and out lie.
You are Barking up a pissed on tree.
Romney NEVER drew the crowds the size Trump is drawing. And BTW, Romney acted like he owned that election, so much so, that he decided to rest while Obama ran circles around him.
Nevertheless, let’s not get excited about a smallish fraction of the voting public being more enthusiastic than usual about our candidate.
The 60’ish percent apolitical, MSM-absorbing American middle is what we and Trump must be concerned with.
Nevertheless, lets not get excited about polls that over sample democrats by 30% and then claim a huge lead for the criminal element in this country.
I don’t recall ANY of these folks having the crowds Trump has!!!
Yes Palin did draw large, enthusiastic crowds. But the energy she generated in the 2008 campaign was thoroughly negated.by the 'nonentity' that was on top of that ticket. McCain halted any momentum advanced by Palin.
Yep, nobody is supporting him anymore. THAT’S WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS RIGHT?
LOL! You mean the polls of likely hildabama voter saying they’ll most likely vote for her?
Romney began getting big crowds the last 2 weeks of the election . Trump has had enormous crowds from the day he announced .
