Interestingly, “From a Jack to a King” by Ned Miller was originally issued in 1957, but it bombed. Although it sounds like a 1957 song, with the somewhat subdued background vocals that characterized many songs of that year, it was released five years later and became a hit.

“Jackson” by Nancy and Lee. That song sure put Jackson, a picturesque town up in Amador County, on the map. When I went up there last fall, the sky was full of smoke from a huge brush fire burning a few miles away.

Thank you. Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton sing “When I Get Where I’m Going”. Another favorite. That one invariably makes me cry this year. It’s been a rough year. It’s still a great song, though.
