Trump plans major campaign changes amid GOP intervention buzz, Giuliani says

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will soon undertake another significant shift in the tone and staffing of his White House campaign, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said.

The changes come amidst rumors that Republican leaders are mounting an "intervention" in an attempt to have Trump to accept professional political advice and embrace a less confrontational campaign style amidst flagging poll numbers and low morale in the party.

Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has close ties to Trump and is a top advisor on terrorism and national security issues, rejected the description of the shift as the result of an "intervention," as reported by NBC News.

"I wouldn't use the word 'intervention,' because its a word to describe what's done for drug addicts and alcoholics, and Trump is neither of those two things," Giuliani told NJ Advance Media Wednesday evening.

"But I think you're going to see Donald Trump campaigning in a somewhat different way going forward — an evolution that will focus much more on the positive than the negative."

This is the correct view, even though many supporters don’t want to hear it. Either this gauntlet of missteps is done on purpose, for whatever reasons, or he has lessening control of his reactions.

And that is exactly what Gingrich just said Trump is doing to help Hillary win. He needs to follow Pence’s example.

Yeah, Trump is so unlike all the last bunch of really good presidents like Clinton, both Bushes, Carter, and of course 0bola. Now they were presidential!

Trump needs to get with the presidential program like them!

The number of concern trolls, or never Trumpers, or Cruzlims, or whatever they are, on this thread is amazing.

What Trump needs to do is be more like McCain was while running against Obama. He needs to publicly say that he thinks Hillary will make a great president. He needs to say he thinks Hillary is honest and has the best interests of our country in mind. He needs to be painfully politically correct, and agree with everything Hillary says

If he doesn't do these things, he might beat Hillary... and that's the last thing the ruling elite class wants.

I think a lot of people didn’t watch the convention and took their cue from the MSM.

Everyone will watch the debates and make up their own mind.

Just remember, according to the MSM Trump lost every Republican debate. The voters thought otherwisse

Donglalinger has installed a Free Republic fainting couch for fainting Freepers, whenever the media tells us Trump is out of line, and Freeper panic and pearl clutching ensues.

Thanks Donglalinger, and I will donate their formerly clutched pearls to the latest Freepathon!

I think though that Hillary is NOT going to get anywhere near the black vote or youth vote Obama did, and her ONLY hope is to get them to vote to keep a “crazy man” away from the nuke button. That is her entire strategy.

If Trump simply makes them comfortable enough with him, and see her corruption. They stay home. Them staying home is enough because I think Trump will Trump Romney turnout...and HRC will run way behind Obama...unless...

I am enjoying it for 2 reasons.

1. Trump is driving the whole establishment crazy.
2. Trump is forcing those within the GOP who are against him to come out into the light so we can see their treason & further validate the existence of the UniParty.

As many have said “best election ever!”

Vote Trump 2016

The concern trolls have been all over the place posting the same crap all week at an accelerated rate compared to before the conventions. They seem to hit FR just moments after CNN shares the newest DNC recommended meme of the hour.

Screw ‘em. I’m voting Trump!

Vote Trump 2016

Well stated. The MSM wants to emasculate his message. They want to dillute the very thing that has made him such a success as a candidate. To milk-toast him according to the MSM narrative. Anyone who thinks when he then goes to the milk toast like Romney did that the MSM will just lay down is seriously cranium challenged.

Once they emasculate the message they concurrently create falsehoods. So with Romney the PAC which blamed Romney for causing a woman to die of cancer. This was THE issue the MSM rode with over and over for a period of time. And despite the fact it was later debunked Obama refused to acknowledge the falsehood.

At the Florida rally, DT, in calling out the NY Times stated he could directly be the cause for a cure for some dreaded disease and they would find a way to damage him.
