Trump plans major campaign changes amid GOP intervention buzz, Giuliani says

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will soon undertake another significant shift in the tone and staffing of his White House campaign, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said.

The changes come amidst rumors that Republican leaders are mounting an "intervention" in an attempt to have Trump to accept professional political advice and embrace a less confrontational campaign style amidst flagging poll numbers and low morale in the party.

Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has close ties to Trump and is a top advisor on terrorism and national security issues, rejected the description of the shift as the result of an "intervention," as reported by NBC News.

"I wouldn't use the word 'intervention,' because its a word to describe what's done for drug addicts and alcoholics, and Trump is neither of those two things," Giuliani told NJ Advance Media Wednesday evening.

"But I think you're going to see Donald Trump campaigning in a somewhat different way going forward — an evolution that will focus much more on the positive than the negative."

OK. So Rudy and Christie and Newt and Manafort have said their piece. The next few days should tell whether or not Trump was open to their advice.

“Clean house of the concern trolls and only have unified supporting voices.”

If people are not being critical of another than all you have is a Stalinist band of cheerleaders donning Pom poms with no opposing viewpoints. The logic you express is a failure in every facet of life. In fact I desperately seek out others who are critical of anything I may be driving. If all agreed with me I’d have an issue with that

“the next Muslim Jihadi shoots or knifes or blows something up in this country, Trump needs to take to the microphones and say “Mr. Khan’s law firm worked to secure visas to allow people like THAT to immigrate to the country”.

Then it will be GAME, SET, MATCH.”

You couldn’t be more wrong. No one gives a damn about this crap garbage! It is because of this and Trump creating the issue as to the reason it still lives on! Why do we still have folks that don’t see that Trump is being played like a cheap fiddle and we still have folks in here cheerleading this?

Focus= Hillary
One more second spent on this jihadi = Trump failure

That graphic is too funny. There are times that I just cringe at what Trump says but after I get off the fainting couch I try to remind myself that:

1. We have asked for someone to go against the GOPE and someone who will fight back against the Dems for years
2. Let Trump do what he does..it has gotten him this far.

Assign others to refute and attack the MSM and Pseudo- Republicans Trumps children seem up to the task. People genuinely liked his son. Trump must focus on Hillary and bring out her bad character point by point.

Trump needs to watch a bunch of Reagan videos to learn the Reagan charm.

I bet he's seen them. Let Trump be Trump. A necessary part of him obtaining success is that he actually be genuine, not act like he is.

Campaigns ALWAYS make changes after the convention.

Precisely! It's like the old joke, applied to Trump...

Donald Trump goes out on a fishing boat with Mike Pence. A gust of wind blows Trump's "Make America Great" hat onto the water. "Here I'll get it," says Trump, and gets out of the boat, walks on the water to get his hat, and returns to the boat.

Next day's headline: "Trump can't swim"

Trump needs to watch a bunch of Reagan videos to learn the Reagan charm.

Most people forget that Reagan was the head of the Screen Actor's Guild, a two-term Governor of California, and ran for President twice. By the time he ran against Carter, he had nearly 30 years of political skills under his hat.

This is Trump's first rodeo. Considering that, he's done remarkably well. He'll make the necessary adjustments.

Or selling info to the Chinese for illegal cash, abandoning hostages in Iran, and just out and out treason and jihad like the current “president”! The list is long...

But they were all “presidential” and not icky crude loose cannons.

Trump can come across as very likable when he wants to be, certainly compared with Clinton. He does obviously need to be knowledgeable and focued in the debates to show that he has both the competence and the character to ably serve as president.

If I could give one piece of advice to Trump it would be this:

For the rallies, people like that he’s not on prompter. The downside is that the media look for anything, and I’m talking about a sentence fragment, that they can use against him. If I were him and his team, I would sit down every single day and make a list of talking points with the latest media lies that need rebutting, latest anti-Hillary talking points, and the policy talking point interspersed with news that apply to them. Stick to that framework, and that way there is nothing the media can use, it will make sure he’s on message, and I think it will reach undecideds.

All those people the Democrats try to throw out as roadblocks, the Buffets, the Cubans, the Kahns, etc. assign surrogates to go after these people if you go after them at all. As I say, if you beat Hillary, you have literally defeated every one of these people.

Obviously you and some others here would greatly benefit Trump and finally get him some popular support - you should all offer yourselves to help in the upper echelons of his campaign. What are you waiting for? Obviously he’ll lose if he continues the downward spiral he’s on.

Trump’s first Advisor should be the Lord Jesus Christ and everything else will fall into place. Unless the rest of his advisors are seeking the Lord’s advice all is for naught. Just sayin’ You can’t be too God anywhere, anytime. Think about it. . .He is in charge of the universe and our next breath.

Easy win for Trump.. just keep on message.. don’t listen to the media.. let someone field what they are saying... they are mounting a barrage like nothing we’ve seen before.. let that slide.. it isn’t personal.. its to get him to react.. take it as a compliment.. and take it on with hillary..

they need to do an ad showing trump greeting those in line for one of his rallies.. show him with the people.. the media is showing him with an angry face..in actuality he’s jovial and kind... and does things for people that are not ever reported. Hillary is ugly through and through,
