A previously unknown agreement signed by the 15 Democratic state attorneys' general that represents a united assault on climate change skeptics shows just how broadly the coalition will interpret the law to attack and harass those who disagree with them.

The agreement also makes clear that the investigation by prosecutors will remain secret - a star chamber if there ever was one.

I really hope Exxon will hold out and refuse to settle with these vultures.

Hmmm. Now that's just plain weird. Almost like some sort of conspiracy or something. Maybe the DOJ should look into it. LOLOLOLOL! Right. Lala will get right on that. Meanwhile, here in Reno, we have thousands of classic muscle cars prowling the streets for Hot August Nights all week spewing all sorts of 'pollutants' into the air. I love the smell of burning high test in the morning. Open headers at the big cruise in Sparks every evening from 6-9. Loping cams, dual quads, 6-71's pokin' out the of the hood................good stuff.

Is this a residual from the Soros project to install Dems in every AG slot at the state level?

Organized crime.
RICO
Passed in 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) is a federal law designed to combat organized crime in the United States. It allows prosecution and civil penalties for racketeering activity performed as part of an ongoing criminal enterprise.

They want to sell oil, which global climate alarmism wants to stop... so why should they be backing Democrats?

The investigations will remain secret because the first time they actually tried a prosecution they would get smacked down by the courts on free speech grounds faster than they could blink. This is not about prosecution, this is about intimidation by process to silence critics....

Global climate alarmism isn’t about climate, it’s about alarmism. What they want is to destroy any semblance of a prosperous politically independent middle class, and create a permanently dependent underclass. One of the means to that goal is the destruction of the suburban way of life, and herding the formerly prosperous denizens into the cities where they will be subject to government rationing for everything, energy being one of those items. People who are subject to rationing are not free. Suburban living is dependent on cheap abundant energy. So energy rationing through climate change alarmism is a two-fer; it destroys the suburbs and is an element in underclass dependency.

The Saudis finance this willingly. Their oil will always sell, but to drive the prices up and make maximum profit, it serves their purpose to destroy American domestic production, which is also the goal of the climate change alarmists. So the Saudis finance this fraud, knowing full well that it will not apply to them. The price of oil goes up as American production goes down, and the Americans will still buy some of it at a high price. Also, they will sell it, at a high price, to the Chinese and Indians who have absolutely no intention of abiding by any sort of climate treaty.

The climate change folks want political control. The Saudis want money. Both groups have their different goals served by having America commit energy suicide.

Nobody pushing this climate change fraud really believes it. If they did, they wouldn’t live like they do.

It’s still not going to work

In order for it not to work, someone has to be fighting to stop it. Who, exactly, is doing that? I know that a few AGs in GOP-controlled states have made some noises, but that won't get it done. If "our side" is truly serious about stopping this garbage, then they need to start punching back, and twice as hard.
