I love the way he counter punches, but this was foolish.
Yep, time is getting short and the current polls are not great. Hopefully this will pass and Trump will learn a lesson. Quit fighting everyone, let the unimportant ones pass and focus on what needs done.

And that may be. But we won’t know till election day. (They weren’t baloney in either 2008 or 2012, even though many around here assured us they were, alas).
Moreover...as I pointed out previously...hilary has one issue, and one issue only. It’s that Trump is a scary racist.
Like it or not, this episode reinforces that narrative unnecessarily for those conditioned to look for evidence of his scary racism. And the media beating that 24/7 doesn’t help. The media is still very powerful with the American electorate.
Not at FR, of course, but in the country at large.
Finally...note that when all the previous gaffes happened (well, what the media told us were gaffes....), Trump’s polling numbers never budged. Sometimes in fact they went up.
This time is different, at least by that measure.
And polls are the only measure that we have at this time. Otherwise, we are just down to one person’s opinion and perception, and one person simply isn’t able to gather enough information about the country at large to know whether this comment helped, was ignored, or hurt.

Here is what we do know: Hillary is no candidate and her bus fiasco proved it.... In her only recent short tv interview she lied through her teeth - talk about reinforcing a negative image. And, the biggest proof of all is Obama feeling motivated to give an outrageous speech in a foreign country dumping on Trump.
Let's face it: half the people intending to vote for her can't stand her!
Moreover, what does being a scary racist really mean to most people who are now in revolt? What does the daily narrative mean to all the people who are now beginning to judge things basis their own personal circumstance?
I think, alas, that for about half the country...scary racist is by FAR the worst things they can imagine. They literally can’t imagine anything worse than that...well except maybe global warming.
We have to hope that that half of the country stays home on election day.
Trump exacerbated the problem, he's gotta live it down. It was a set up, but that's what the left does. It's all they have. Throw cr@p at the wall, see what sticks. He's a street smart guy, he can do better. It's still plenty early.
Quit fighting, yes; but not necessary to let it pass. One of Trump's great strengths is his willingness to mix it up.
Suppose he'd used the political equivalent of "bless his heart /kill him with kindness."
Mr. Khan is still grieving the loss of his son. Losing a child is a terrible, terrible thing. Parents aren't supposed to bury their children. Some never recover.
We can all extend a little grace to Mr. Khan.
And if Mr. Khan is inclined to continue running his mouth...
I feel great pain and empathy for Mr. Khan. I hope he finds peace.
Unfortunately, he's being exploited by the media and Hillary Clinton, which will not help healing. I say to Mr. Khan: "You are being exploited by Hillary Clinton and the leftist media. They do not have your interests at heart. When they have exploited you to the end of your usefulness to them, they will drop you.
They are not people of good character, otherwise they would not be doing this to you." And I would say to them: "Is power so important you would do this? You are all beneath contempt."
Trump has been on an incredible learning curve from the time he stepped out to enter the political world...it is brutal beyond belief and on top of that he has people in his OWN party who are undermining him! We need to pray hard for him, for wisdom and insight as he listens to his advisors, to focus on just the issues that are SO CRITICAL to our freedoms...Let’s really lift up Mr. Trump in the coming days, weeks, and months and pray God intervenes above all the crap we are seeing take place!

More to it than that. There’s a coordinated effort going on now to run get Trump to quit. In addition to the cooked polls coming out from every corner of the media, state polls are now coming out showing Trump tanking everywhere. A Mich poll this morning has him down 30 points. A NH poll has him down 20. The Uniparty saw after his convention that he could very easily win the presidency and they are trying to destroy him. Nothing Clinton does makes her numbers go down. All of America is now in love with her. CNN poll today says Obama is at 54% approval. How long before SC (maybe the reddest state in the country) has Trump losing? It’s right around the corner. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. It’s a war. The globalists have united and want Trump gone and are hoping and praying he believes these polls and quits the race. Ignore the 15 to 20 thousand that show up his rallies. America wants a criminal globalist who should be in prison, who has a hard time filling up someone’s living room. The gigantic rallies for Trump are photo-shopped, or that’s what the media would have us all believe.
