Former Navy SEAL officer Eric Greitens won the Republican primary for Missouri governor Tuesday after a hard-fought race in which he cast himself as a conservative outsider willing to use his military bravado to blow up perceived corruption in government.
Greitens prevailed over another self-described outsider, businessman John Brunner, and a pair of more experienced Republican leaders — longtime Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and former Missouri House Speaker and U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway.
He will face Attorney General Chris Koster, who easily won the Democratic gubernatorial primary, in the Nov. 8 general election.
The Missouri governor's office will be open because two-term incumbent Jay Nixon, a Democrat, has served the maximum amount allowed under state law and cannot seek re-election.

Great guy and military hero. A couple of risk factors--he went to a DNC convention and indicated support of Obama and his wife is at Harvard grad school. She is reputed to be a liberal. Don't think you can do Harvard online and it will make it questionable if she really wants him to be gov.
However, let us pray he is electable.... If Trump can carry MO by 6-10, we have a shot.
AND John Ashcroft's son will run for Secretary of State...unfortunately against a black woman tv anchor. We have to clean up the dead-voter rolls if we ever expect to win an election again.

With 89% in it’s
Eric Greitens 34%
John Brunner 25%
Lt. Governor Peter Kinder 21%
Catherine Hanaway 20%
All I know about him, he’s an ex-Seal, and is a fairly recent convert (was a rat US House prospect in 2010). None of the GOP candidates were a no-brainier pick
The rat, AG Chris Koster, is an ex-RINO turncloack POS.
Rat domination of this office has been nothing less of disgusting. One narrow GOP win in 2004 the only victory since Ashcroft. That’s 1 out of the last 6. Meanwhile, Republicans have dominant control of the legislature.
