An American Airlines pilot tackled an intoxicated man to the ground after he tried to force his way off a taxiing plane and attacked a flight attendant.
In footage posted online, the pilot is heard yelling 'you don't put your hands on my flight attendant!' as he forced the belligerent passenger to the floor after the plane landed and came to a stop in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michael Kerr, 25, from Kentucky, was banned from flying after appearing in court on charges of being intoxicated and disruptive, assault on a female and communicating threats, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Apparently homophobic, too.
Wonder if he's a Dallas based pilot. Sounds like something someone from Texas would do.
“Michael Kerr had just accepted his boyfriends, Matthew Stacy, proposal before taking a flight from Lexington, Ky. to Charlotte, N.C. on July 21.”
Bummer. Now that he’s been banned from flying they won’t be able to enjoy fruity drinks with little umbrellas on a honeymoon beach in the Caribbean.
I hope you’re joking. I am a pilot for a large US Airline and all of us refer to the flight attendants as “our flight attendants” or our girls unless one or more are men. And they in turn refer to us as “my pilots or my captain, first officer”. As another poster mentioned, we treat each other like family during the course of the trip. Most of us share stories about our spouses, kids, family pets, etc...
It’s just an airline thing that goes way back.
Most of us are very protective of the flight attendants even the male ones.
Why not? How many times in life do you get to slug a homo and get away with it? Basic cost-benefit analysis, the way I see it.
Might have been a bit late there, going or coming.
Kudos to the pilot!
I still call them stewardesses—a more prestigious job title than “flight attendant,” which is sort of like “gas station attendant.”
That would be a question for the pilot.
Any ‘man’ would stop the assault.
We really seem to lack ‘men’ these days.
Many seem to be MINO’s.
If Bill Clinton had a son ...
It was all a misunderstanding, as the Flight Attendant didn’t understand Jive.
And Barbara Billingsly wasn’t available to translate.

This is outrageous, especially after 9/11. A violent passenger not only threatens the lives of everyone on board but potentially thousands on the ground. There is no other transportation medium which carries such risks. Pilots are supposed to be armed. We need a federal law allowing airline personnel to terminate threats to passengers, crew or the aircraft without having to fear legal or civil repercussion. I predict within six months of enactment of such a law incidents like this will go to zero.
The sense of entitlement among homosexuals is staggering.
Last airline incident I can remember is the homo flight attendant losing his marbles and becoming violent while announcing his resignation on a flight.
Homos don’t need to eat. They subsist on attention.
Vomit.
Give me my jalapeno mac and cheese!
