An American Airlines pilot tackled an intoxicated man to the ground after he tried to force his way off a taxiing plane and attacked a flight attendant.
In footage posted online, the pilot is heard yelling 'you don't put your hands on my flight attendant!' as he forced the belligerent passenger to the floor after the plane landed and came to a stop in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michael Kerr, 25, from Kentucky, was banned from flying after appearing in court on charges of being intoxicated and disruptive, assault on a female and communicating threats, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Nice to see you, Mick.
How have you been?
Not if your bonking that specific flight attendant.
That’s why there are two pilots in the cockpit. I’m sure that the one that remained was completely capable of taxiing the plane to the gete.
My God what a SEXIST, MISOGYNIST PILOT HE IS, talking about ‘HIS’ flight attendant as if he OWNS HER.. or something.. He should’ve shown this woman the respect she deserves and let the drunk man put his hands all over her like the independent, self-sufficient liberated female that she is!
ROFL!!!!! for real!!!!!
Exactly.
Hey pilot - who’s kidding who here?
That is so great. I love this guy!!
Should have just let the passengers handle it, like that scene in the movie Airplane where they are lining up to clobber the hysterical lady.
This account forgot to mention he just got engaged.
“Michael Kerr had just accepted his boyfriend’s, Matthew Stacy, proposal before taking a flight from Lexington, Ky. to Charlotte, N.C. on July 21.”
Airline employees are tight knit and treat each other like family. Aircrew especially.
“Thats why there are two pilots in the cockpit. Im sure that the one that remained was completely capable of taxiing the plane to the gete.”
But the pilot has opened the cockpit and come out, if this clown were a decoy wouldn’t the pilot have left the plane vulnerable to being seized?
“But the pilot has opened the cockpit and come out...”
Well, he has to come out to take a leak when the plane is airborne, and he will come out when the plane’s at the gate. What’s the diff? Besides, pilots can be armed, also co-pilots. This captain did the right thing!
While the pilot is in charge of the airplane, everything is his to guard, including the flight attendant
Thanks for your kind words, I haven’t really been anywhere it’s just that I find it hard to say anything new or make any great enlightened statement that hasn’t been said already about the world and the state it’s in.
I have posted two posts here today not really connected with politics.
Fair enough, I thought in the days we live in having the captain of the plane brawling on the floor with a drunk, whilst thoroughly satisfying on many levels, would nonetheless be regarded as a bit of a security compromise.
Obviously not.
My pilot would have never done that.
My friend is a flight attendant, and her husband is a pilot for this airline. She is based out of Charlotte. Wasn’t them though;-)
The Captain in Command is responsible for everything concerning that airplane until the craft is parked at the jetway, engines stopped, the doors opened and the flight totally completed. Even until all passengers have exited the plane, she IS his flight attendant.
The pilot’s patriarchal response sickens me.
