The “moral high ground” means destroying the Republican base and the voters who they are calling immoral for even voting, this whole voting thing has got to stop and “top down establishment rule” is the “high ground”, that’s why it is so important pro-amnesty authoritarians of the government class like Hillary ade elected, whatever it takes to stop the anti-establishment upstarts like Trump, after all there are millions of Mexicans who are delending on Ryan and the donor class who want their nice elderly grand parents to get into the US and enroll in all sorts of government class benefits that will give them a nice retirement they never paid for along with the important lifetime goverrnment retirement plans for the great civil servants of our morally superior government class.

Ryan talking about the “soul” of anything seems about as hypocritical as one could be.
Ryan is a wealthy beltway careerist. He has no soul or any empathy whatsoever for Main Street USA.
What he really means is that he’s in a fight to utterly divorce the republican party from the will of its constituents - in order to guarantee Washington’s professional pols plenty of access to bank accounts, office space, tenure, perks, and privileges, all on the public teat.
It’s no secret plan. Ryan is just following the 2012 autopsy report to move the GOP left. He is so dangerous because of his faux conservative “street cred.”
I certainly don’t doubt that. I’m an old fart of impressions formed decades ago. Two examples stand out in my mind: Eddie from the Munsters and that smart assed Eddie Haskell from “Leave it to Beaver.”
