Conservative TV and radio host Glenn beck is suing Chris Balfe, the former CEO who used to run his news network The Blaze and helped grow Beck's empire, according to LawNewz.com.
Balfe is accused of breach of contract, general mismanagement, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud, according to the lawsuit.
Beck's production and operating company, Mercury Radio Arts, filed the July 29 complaint which accuses Balfe of being a "terrible executive" who caused "substantial harm through deliberate mismanagement."

I used to listen to Glenn Beck years ago, but got sick of his joke.
It occurs to me that the left has done its best to keep Beck going, because it gives them a voice “on the right” to show to people how “dangerous” the Conservative movement is, and how “whack-a-doodle” most of their top people are. In fact, Beck may speak for 0.00001% of Conservatives in the United States, and even then, it’s only about 0.001% of the time.
In a way, it reminds me of some of the old comedies on TV that the “MeTV” network has brought back to mind. Two shows, in particular, come to mind:
1) MASH: The entire Frank Burns character was nothing more than a caricature of a person designed to denigrate Republicans and midwesterners in general. I can hardly recall any episodes where Burns was nothing more than fodder for the other doctors snarky jokes.
2) The Andy Griffith Show: They had a whole cast of characters here who were nothing but stupid country bumpkins whose whole raison d’etre were to have a laugh at the stupid people of Nawth Caroliny. Chief among them was Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife, who was so stoopid that he wasn’t allowed to even keep a bullet in his gun.
Of course, we all know who was writing the scripts of these shows and their political beliefs. I guess we laughed when we were younger, but looking back through the lens of 30+ years of life, world change and the squelching of free speech in the guise of “political correctness”, the above examples aren’t quite as quaint or humorous anymore.
Well, that’s how I see it, anyway!
See this post.
Trump is from a family of five kids plus his Mother so Six then it was 40 million before NYState huge death tax of 55% and then the Federal govt death tax of ...
That nets down to not too much unless it was set up as a trust but still it’s 5 ways and there are still taxes .
Odd how 40 million get sliced up quickly .
Just like those two kids who started that computer company with a $10,000 loan from their grandmother. In four years they had a billion dollar company going employing thousands. Gateway computers.
Beck did his own “empire” in with his psychotic attacks on Trump and cultish embrace of Cruz. You can see it in the Alexa/Quantcast ratings almost to the week he started. Straight down from there as Breitbart and others have flourished
Yep, my favorite radio station with Limbaugh and Hannity. Refuse to listen to Beck, so the radio is off or different station when Beck is on yucking it up with his laughing hyenas while they trash talk Trump.
LOL, that sounds more accurate than my “laughing hyenas”!

Oh, yeah — it’s someone else’s fault.
Moron. He could have had it all, but it wasn’t enough.
That's when banks come in handy. Get a loan and start small business, let it grow.
Another thing, ever heard of death taxes? about 55% of inheritance is taken away immediately. Trump only inherited 45%, which he didn't need at all.
You don’t seem to think much at all, so that isn’t surprising.
What will he do to Pat and Stu when they finally leave?
You’re an unpleasant little man. Do you insult everyone that you disagree with?
Obviously you do have something against inherited wealth or we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Using the "self made billionaire" meme just makes him seem out of touch like the msm portrayed Romney.
No, it doesn't. You were wrong and I provided evidence to prove you were wrong. Yet, you persist in continuing to make a case based on false evidence. Cease your intellectual dishonesty at once. You've already dug the hole deep enough.
I know folks that I would call self made millionaires. They literally started out of their garage with a pickup truck.
That's nice. Nobody including them and us gives a flying crap who you would or wouldn't call a 'self-made millionaire'. This meme refers to him as a 'self-made millionaire' and that is factual and a hell of a lot more credible than some guy who comes along spouting false information (that would be you) to try and assert otherwise.
I know another person that, like Trump, comes from a very wealthy family, got a first rate education, inherited a lot of money and has grown it many times over.
Maybe he'll raise his children properly, so they become self-made billionaires and you can seethe with jealousy over their success too. I hope he calls himself a self-made millionaire too just to tick you off.
He has said "you hire the smartest people that you can find to make you money". I'm sure Trump would agree.
Given the ignorance you've already displayed on this thread, it's not surprising that you haven't bothered to read any of Trump's books. If you had, you might know better what Trump would agree with. (Hint: it's not that.)
It's also hard to do if you don't have money to start with.
Everything is. That doesn't mean someone should be ashamed of their accomplishments and temper their language to appease dishonest critics with agendas.
No, just you. I despise intellectual dishonesty and laziness. You’ve displayed both on this thread and are therefore unworthy of anything but insults.
Have a good evening.
Beck must be going broke to blame someone else.
Hey Beck, YOU are ultimately responsible for YOUR own company.
Back when I was listening to Beck, I seem to remember Glenn talking about buying that whole floor of that building. He was bragging about it.
This is a shockingly excessive amount that far exceeds appropriate compensation for companies of Mercury and TheBlazes size and financial performance, wrote Eliot Burriss, an attorney for Beck, in the complaint. Burriss claimed Balfe failed to submit his executive compensation to the Mercury Radio Arts board of directors.
How do you NOT KNOW how much your own CEO earns? He earns $13 million over five years and you DON'T KNOW it? This lawsuit should be laughed out of court.
“Beck replaced hmi two years ago and just now decides to sue him after having him as his go-to guy for twelve years?/????????”
I had the same thought.
On August 1, 2002, Balfe was hired as Mercury Radio Arts’ President and CEO.
On December 7, 2012, Balfe becomes Mercury’s President, CEO, and Secretary.
On July 1, 2012, Balfe becomes President and CEO of TheBlaze.
Between 2009 to 2014, Balfe’s compensation is $13 million, but Glenn Beck doesn’t address this when Beck owns 100% of Mercury Radio Arts and TheBlaze doesn’t exist until July 2012?
On Page 8: “Balfe’s management shortcomings infected his entire tenure.” Yet no attempts to address these concerns by Glenn Beck (still 100% owner of Mercury and majority owner of TheBlaze) at any time?
