In a press conference Sunday, Pope Francis appeared to suggest that all religions are equally prone to violence and that Islam and Christianity are the same in this regard. When asked by a journalist about the “barbarous assassination of Fr. Jacques Hamel” in northern France who was clearly “killed in the name of Islam” last Tuesday, the Pope replied that he doesn’t like speaking about Islamic violence because there is plenty of Christian violence as well.

I don’t see many “Christ like qualities” in this Pope.
Jesus was a man of action and certainly didn’t mince words or parce his position on issues. IN FACT, when it came to politics in Government, he refused to engage. His fight was with the politics of religion and the religious leaders that were in bed with government.
This Pope and the Catholic Church seems to be going the same direction as the church that Jesus rebelled against in his day. The new Catholic mission is apparently to farm out the saving of souls to the government by forcing state tithing for the good of God’s needy. On the other hand, the mission is to devalue the faith he represents as the holiest of all Catholics.

Catholic violence? Of the past? Or now? If now, is that Priest Violence? He knows what I mean.
He wants people to know that Christians are no better than muslims.
He has no intention of evangelizing muslims. For muslims, like anyone else, Christ is their only hope. It would be nice if the pope knew that.
Like any culture estranged from Christ, Islam produces a toxic society. Again, I wish the pope understood that.

Unfortunately the Roman Catholic Church was taken over by the far leftists many years ago and only announced to the pew sitters recently with the appointment of Pope Francis.

Let him produce a video, just one, of someone in the name of Christianity beheading a 12 yo child. Hundreds can be found of ISIS committing horrendous murders in the name of Islam, and proudly saying so. There may be a few out there, but I am unaware of any videos of Muslims unequivocally denouncing these acts.

The difference is that Catholics are not murdering people in the name of Jesus. And if they are, there is nowhere in the New Testament that supports it or says they can murder their way into heaven.
