Downtown Evansville (E-ville - let the reader understand) ain’t the best place to be after 11pm either.
Been there, got the t-shirt...won’t do it again.
Friends of the deceased identified him as 41-year-old Tim Beaty, a popular local musician. Beaty was a graduate of Centralia High School.
He is survived by his wife Jessica, a young son, and his parents, Don Beaty and Kittie McMillan, both formerly of Centralia and both Centralia High School graduates.

SIU students come forward, calling shooting victim Tim Beaty "hero"
CARBONDALE -- A new shooting investigation in Carbondale gets a response from the father of one of the city's most recent gun crime victims.
Hours after an early morning shooting put one person in Memorial Hospital Thursday, Don Beaty, father Tim Beaty, who recently died from a stray bullet, talked exclusively with us about violence which he admits, has no short-term solutions.
Carbondale music lovers knew Tim Beaty, as a popular rock drummer.
"Shortly after he graduated high school he came down here to be with his band," said Don. He now mourns him as a victim of rising crime.
"I think it's every parent's worst nightmare...it's devastating," he said.
Four men, Dwayne Dunn, 21, of St. Louis, Daniel Holmes, 21, of Carbondale, Travis Tyler, 21,and John Ingram, 21, both of Cape Girardeau await their fate, and possibly additional charges in connection to Tim Beaty's shooting death in March.
