Appearing on Glenn Beck’s radio show on Wednesday, Never Trump leader Erick Erickson mused on yet another scheme to foist Mitt Romney on the American electorate this year.
If one can wade through Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson discussing wild-eyed conspiracy theories involving GOP nominee Donald Trump and Russia and their claims that they are among the few remaining Americans who still believe in the Constitution, you will hear some serious crazy as Beck, his co-hosts, and Erickson elaborate on a strategy to derail the GOP nominee and throw the November Presidential election to the House of Representatives to decide.
The theory, as explained by Beck’s co-host Stu Burguiere, is to run a “conservative” candidate in two to three deep red states “where Hillary Clinton has no chance of winning,” so that Trump can’t get to the 270 electoral vote threshold needed to win, thereby throwing the election to the House of Representatives, assuming that Hillary doesn’t win outright.
Their dream “conservative” candidate seems to be Mitt Romney — but only because “Paul Ryan is the Speaker of the House,” and therefore unavailable. They never do get around to accounting for the widespread unpopularity of both these men across the GOP base. But then their plan isn’t genuinely rooted in democracy anyway.

Johnson getting on the debate stage might be the best thing possible...for someone. Most folks don’t remember he was a complete nut job last time around. He has zero presence....so much so I don’t even understand how he was elected Governor.
If he makes it to the debate he will freefall from 15% to 3% within a matter of days. If he doesn’t make it, he will probably hover around 8-10%. According to the polls, he hurts Clinton more than Trump.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Throughout my life I have seen religious extremists take pleasure in perceived persecution. This clique of crackpots fits that bill.

Any Republican going AWOL now with Americans dead by the dozens due to Democrat policies has zero moral authority going forward. Cruz, Romney, Beck and the rest of the “vote your conscience” cut and run crowd are unpatriotic and certainly not conservative. They are dead to me.

The never Trumpers want Johnson on the stage so it isn’t just a Hildabeast vs. Trump defacto match up. That is where the “vote your conscience” nonsense is headed. Cruz was all but begging his supporters to vote Libertarian in his convention speech.

Already the filing deadlines have passed in 14 states (TX, NC, IL, IN, NM, NV, GA, DE, FL, OK, SC MI, WA, MO).
Let say this plan could get off the ground, get organized and start getting enough petition signatures in one month (difficult but probably not absolutely impossible), by August 30th the window will have already closed in another 29 states (AL, KS, ME, MD, NE, NJ, PA, VT, WV, MA, SD, WI, AK, CO, CT, HI, NH, OH, CA, UT, MT, TN, IA, LA, MN, NY, ID, VA, OR, WY).
That leaves only North Dakota (9/5), Arizona (9/9), Kentucky (9/9) Mississippi (9/9) and Rhode Island (9/9). The only states this plan would be viable in would be ND, MI, KY, Rhode Island is a blue state so wouldn't matter and Arizona is so light red such meddling would just split the vote and toss the state to Hillary.
Contact the program director at the station he is on in your area and let them know that you find Beck offensive.
I doubt we could succeed in getting him removed anywhere but if word gets around to advertisers that people are trying to get him removed it could cost him some ad revenue.
There are definitely issues I differ quite a bit from. He’s not particularly an ideological conservative, but I am okay with that. He’s offering the right solution to a lot of problems, and I’ll take the many goods with some bads. Frankly we won’t know what we have entirely until it happens, but by and large he is going to do the right things, make the right decisions, select the right people, and address major issues in a conservative way. I am all in, but not without recognizing I am going to be frustrated on some issues.
What is it about Trump that has these fat squishy little crybabies in such a snit? It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. I know most of his Rhino opposition are open border freaks but this has got to be something else?

I am ashamed to say that in our early primary, I voted for
Ted Cruz. . but when he gave that stinker of a convention
speech; then kept ramping it up the following day, I
PLEDGED to myself, to NEVER vote for Cruz again for
anything. A PLEDGE means something to me.
Cruz can make a living for his family with his lawyering.
I’m done with Cruz; and I suspect that Donald Trump is
done with Cruz.
There is a difference in being principled and just being
an obstinate prick.

Weld ain’t much better, the more you read about him. This dynamic duo is only slightly less whacky than Dennis Kucinich. Without the drop dead gorgeous wife.
None of them have provided a single believable reason why they are against Trump. This leaves me pondering: Could they be part of Soros’s secret infiltrators?
