The media hasn’t attacked Pence either. They did an article about it here, but this isn’t dominating news discussions because this is known as the goal of every Republican POTUS candidate. Hillary and the Dems know it, hence all the pro-abortion rhetoric at the DNC. Trump says he is pro-life, says Roe vs. Wade is bad law, and says the best thing he can do for pro-lifers is to appoint pro-life justices. Why would Trump continually tout that his justices will be pro-life if not for the Roe vs. Wade issue?

Again, because I like you, I will explain one more time.

Nominating a person for judge on SCOTUS or Federal court does NOT get the president to decide on any issue. The president depends on how his nominee will rule. Some Reagan appointees to SCOTUS turned out to be more liberal than conservative. Justice Roberts was nominated by pro-life president Bush and voted in favor of Obamacare.

No President can change abortion laws all by himself. Only the SCOTUS can change it in the future. President has the constitutional authority to nominate judges, but not changing any law unilaterally. Therefore no candidate should say “Roe Vs Wade will be gone if I am elected”. But he can always say, I will nominate justices who favor right to life, and I hope those justices will rule in sync with my wish. But I can not dictate what the outcome will be.
