GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence on Thursday predicted that Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion, would be overturned if Donald Trump is elected president.
Im pro-life and I dont apologize for it, he said during a town hall meeting here. Well see Roe vs. Wade consigned to the ash heap of history where it belongs.

I can’t believe what the Free Republic has turned into. This used to be a Christian Conservative site.
Pence’s comments are going to motivate MORE voters to vote for Trump...the pro-lifers who don’t trust Trump on abortion.
More people than you think think abortion is murder...they just don’t say it in public.
I agree. What’s wrong with Pence? They have plenty on which to campaign and win, without spilling their guts about the libs’ most holy sacrament of baby slaughter. Why not get elected and then blindside the libs with it?
I wonder if he had Trump’s O.K. to blurt that out? Or will he be trying to walk it back tomorrow with egg all over his face?
Right now Trump is trying to win with all voters. Religious conservatives are not the GD problem right now, they would have gotten what they wanted until this stupid Ahole opened his effn mouth.
You wait until the news breaks tomorrow and tell me to calm down. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Exactly!!!
CGato
Thankyou.
Can someone explain to me the thrill of wanting to kill your own children?
“This may have just lost the election.......just damn.”
BS! What is the point of voting for anyone who supports murdering babies? Now Trump needs to double down. He once hinted about it when he asked for murderers (and conspirators) to be brought to the court of law.
Well, I guess we’ll see won’t we?
Hard to unring this bell.
Why wasn’t the issue of slavery left up to each State to decide?
are there any corroborating source not named msn?
If Trump is good with it, then fine, I'll trust his judgment. If this is a case of Pence pulling a 'Todd Akin', then Trump should fire him. The sooner the better.
Everyone is cowering in fear about this. Everyone needs to man up. Pence said what has been in the GOP platform for 40 years, nothing new.
“Why wasnt the issue of slavery left up to each State to decide?”
EXACTLY! When human dignity was at hand and slaves were traded like cattle, Lincoln, the FIRST Republican President delivered it, even if that meant deaths of hundreds of thousands. Now, literal human lives are at hand. Will the CURRENT Republican President do what is necessary?
It will also motivate some reluctant conservatives. I am sure he checked out this dialogue with Trump first. WOW!
This wasn’t even an election issue. Why make it one now? Stay focused on the economy stupid.
Pence, STFU!! What an idiot.
Trump welcomes the LBQT crowd and Pence just threw away the few women inclined to vote GOP. My God!
What’s next? Women do not get pregnant with rape?
According to one of our founding documents the Right to Life is an essential, and unalienable right. Therefore, it is guaranteed and protected by the Federal government, not left to the States to determine.
People are talking pragmatic, cold hard reality. You don’t lead with that position now...you must get elected first. Then govern conservatively. Nobody here wants abortion, but people understand how the game is played and the fodder he just handed over to the enemy. They are going to use this from now to Election Day.
I’m glad that “You’re Sure” because politics isn’t about what YOU think you could know...It’s all about not giving your opponent the upper hand and losing in the long run.
We don’t have anymore do overs available because if She wins ...we all lose especially all those poor unborn babies who will never get the chance to tell us they “SURE” that we would protect them!
