Curious of who the governor was who told Trump not to go after the people who attacked him last night at the convention. Yes, I would typically say focus on Hillary, but I think it would be okay to focus on these people after they got up there and said what they said about him. He said they lied multiple times about him. I don’t see anything wrong with him repudiating the lies. I think Trump should have trusted his instinct on that because it’s not a distraction; it’s relevant to the fight to beat Hillary because they are saying this stuff about him to get her elected.
Maybe I’m wrong and Trump made the right decision. Maybe the governor’s point that these people will go home and be forgotten is true, but the things they said are still out there circulating and deserve a beat down lest they persuade any independent voter. The truth is that I just would have loved to hear Trump blast all those speakers from last night who received gushing praise in the MSM. Attack dog Trump going after Democrats is always a beautiful thing to watch.
