A magnum buckshot load or a spreader load in close quarters works best. Spreader loads minimize the risk of what’s behind your target.

I do have to agree.
You fire to kill the attacker. You don’t simply run away and let others die.

A blow torch and pliers for active shooter triage while waiting for the ambulance after you shot back.

It’s like “ready, aim fire”...when you’re under attack it’s just FIRE!!

Go to the sound of guns. Risky, but honorable and sometimes a life-saver.

“Allahu snackbar!”
No one wants to hear that at Walmart, then popping noises ..... so,
I only play a pistolero at the range and on FR, but most of us carrying concealed won’t have shotguns on our hips in the grocery store or wherever. Public places.
Unless you have time to run outside and pop your trunk, you fight with what you have: a pistol.
Yes, definitely:be sure of your target and what/who is behind it. And ditch your beloved milsurp pistol and buy something that reliably feeds hollow points.
Since ‘tunnel vision’ kicks in, just aim for center of body mass and make sure you re-holster ASAP so someone doesn’t shoot you.

It is interesting that the article was written but it adds nothing at all except a short waste of time.

Who would have thought it could come to this?
Growing up in the 50s and 60s we feared missiles launched from the sky by enemies. Duck and cover.
Now it is from gunfire, knives and bombs, by people THAT OUR GOVERNMENT ECOURAGES TO COME, AND LIVE AMONG US.

I have finally applied for a CC permit. My priest has suggested that it might be prudent if several of the parishioners come to mass armed. I have avoided CC because of the nagging thought that come the Confiscation, the troops will go for the names on the lists they have first. Well I am a security guard and my new position requires me to be armed and I have gotten my state's "G" license to have a .38 on my hip while at work. So. I am on a gun list. I might as well get on the other one, too. That said there are places I won't drive my car any more. When a police car is behind you his scanner automatically reads your tag and puts all your info up on the screen in the cop car. That info includes the permit. In Dade County that the cop probably sees that permit as justification to stop you with his gun out. He will say something about a tag light being out. In Dade that permit makes you an enemy of society. Where I live the CC won't even be mentioned if the cop stops you for speeding or something else.If anything the officer sees you as an ally.

Remember the rhyme your grandpa taught you.
Two to the chest, one to the head, leaves 'em dead.

I get that.
Suppose a man has his wife and two or three of his children with him. What then?
