The same hackers who penetrated the Democratic National Committee also succeeded in breaking into the Clinton Foundation, it was disclosed Tuesday.
The news broke just as leaks from the DNC hack — which was disclosed last week — began to appear online.
The perpetrators were said to have “links to the Russian government,” according to Bloomberg News, which first reported that the foundation had been compromised. –– ADVERTISEMENT ––
“The hackers in fact sought data from at least 4,000 individuals associated with US politics — party aides, advisers, lawyers and foundations — for about seven months,” Bloomberg reported.
US officials have informed both major political parties and the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders that sophisticated hackers were attempting to penetrate their computers.
Clinton Foundation officials did not say which documents and other information had been stolen.
Trump has said that he plans to make a campaign issue of donations, especially from foreign governments, to the Clinton Foundation, and confidential data, e-mails and other materials could aid in that effort if they become public.
The FBI, Secret Service and National Security Agency are investigating.

I watched the “Clinton Cash” piece last night. Makes the case for that kind of reach.

If so, then the next question is have any of those agents been killed, or what intelligence operations have been compromised leading to the death of other Americans?

My take is that they are preparing for a war which they are desperate to avert. Anyone who has dealt with Russians will know first hand how loathe they are to admitting fear or vulnerability, and they are. That does not mean they will cower or kneel. It means they are preparing a hill to die on, as long as their attacker die on it as well. I can see them releasing this evidence. I don’t think they would put anything that vital into unreliable, third party hands, however.

“Not to the FBI, not in a case we are working,” Director Comey replied.

“Did you review the documents where Congressman Jim Jordan asked her specifically, and she said ‘There was nothing marked classified on my emails either sent or received,’” Congressman Chaffetz asked.
“I don’t remember reviewing that particular testimony,” Director Comey replied. “I am aware of that being said, though.”
“Did the FBI investigate her statements under oath on this topic?” Congressman Chaffetz asked.
“Not to my knowledge — I don’t think there has been a referral from Congress,” Director Comey replied.
“Do you need a referral from Congress to investigate her statements under oath?” Congressman Chaffetz asked.
“Sure do,” Comey replied.
Congressman Chaffetz then left no doubt that the FBI would have one, very soon.
“You’ll have one. You’ll have one in the next few hours,” Chaffetz said.

In my view it is a serious error to assume Mad Vlad wants to conquer the world. He knows he lacks the where with all.
It is possible, perhaps even likely that Vlad knows Hillary would be a world disaster and getting rid of her is beneficial in the long run.

I think that meets the definition of Treason, unless Comey has a chance to launder it and find no intent for all that money.
The Clinton Global Crime Initiative Foundation is where the real dirt is. Money laundering, illegal contributions, influence peddling, drug and arms running, etc. If they got into that, then a large segment of the government will be fleeing the country.
