The same hackers who penetrated the Democratic National Committee also succeeded in breaking into the Clinton Foundation, it was disclosed Tuesday.
The news broke just as leaks from the DNC hack — which was disclosed last week — began to appear online.
The perpetrators were said to have “links to the Russian government,” according to Bloomberg News, which first reported that the foundation had been compromised. –– ADVERTISEMENT ––
“The hackers in fact sought data from at least 4,000 individuals associated with US politics — party aides, advisers, lawyers and foundations — for about seven months,” Bloomberg reported.
US officials have informed both major political parties and the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders that sophisticated hackers were attempting to penetrate their computers.
Clinton Foundation officials did not say which documents and other information had been stolen.
Trump has said that he plans to make a campaign issue of donations, especially from foreign governments, to the Clinton Foundation, and confidential data, e-mails and other materials could aid in that effort if they become public.
The FBI, Secret Service and National Security Agency are investigating.
yup this could be the mother load.
Where was the DNC server located? Given the history of Hillary, she shared the CGI server for her state dept emails. Did she also allow the DNC to be hosted on the CGI server? Break into one, get all three?
I hope the Klitons have a nice comfortable non-extraditable country picked out.
The Russians aren’t doing this...the DNC desperately wants to sell that the Russians are in on it because then it makes Hillary a victim instead of a bigoted, criminal extortionist, idiot (there’s a trifecta for you).

If the hackers, whoever they are, got into the Clinton Slush Fund aka Foundation, then I’m more willing to believe claims of “indictable” and “could get her arrested”.
Regardless, I’m betting her liquor bill is going up this week.

It didn’t matter, because Comey was going to let her off no matter what (like Justice Roberts did for Obamacare).
But I think the FBI did recover thousands of emails that Hillary deleted, based on the excerpt of Comey’s testimony that Hannity always plays.
I can see why Putin would release such data, but he threatened (as I recall) to release them as such. I don’t see why he would use a third party conduit for the release.
One of the problems with figuring out who released this, is to define the number of people who are enemies of the Clintons, for both personal and policy reasons. That number is probably quite staggering, and some of great influence and resources. According to Guccifer, at least ten other entities hacked her effectively undefended emails.
I don’t think the DNC conspiring against Bernie stuff holds much blackmail value after the election.

This is another good reason to believe the Russians didn’t hack these e-mails...What good are they to Russia?
