Hillary Clinton held true Sunday to her age-old adage on Benghazi. The former secretary of state admitted there were mistakes ensuring the U.S. Consulate in Libya was secure but said the concerns about security never came to her attention. "You know, the ball was dropped in security. And, you know, some of the decisions that were made probably should have been rethought," Clinton said Friday in a taped interview with CBS "60 Minutes" host Scott Pelley, broadcast Sunday. But beyond taking generic responsibility as the secretary of state, Clinton has maintained Republicans have dramatically talked up the tragic

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
“What dig fence does it make now?”
I’m willing to move on to expanded weekend visiting hours at Leavenworth, but no further.
Hey, Susan Rice dropped a few balls too and look where it got her. Give Hillary a break... Considering her mind is jell-o.. and Bubba is a philandering snake.. her cookies are still killer. ;-)
“The Buck Stops Here” was only for that dumb hayseed Democrat shit Truman. No confusing Hillary’s self imposed mandate. Hillary first, Hillary always, Hillary (or legacy) forever.
This is not about the GOP. This is about men who died because there was insufficient security and our military was told to “stand down”.
The issue of the emails is infinitely more important than the already ghastly incompetence of her decision as to whether or not to act in response to the attack itself.
The issue is the carelessness and terrible disregard for national security assets she showed by placing her emails on her private server. WE WILL NEVER KNOW how many operatives and assets have been arrested, tortured, and killed as a result.
Hillary, the Bernie Delegates at the DNC Convention are yelling “Lock Her Up”.
You had better tell them to get over it before you go after the GOP.
So, she’s running entirely on the idea that she has more experience, but we can’t talk about what she did?
Standard Clinton Tactics:
Deny, Deny, Deny, Lie, Lie, Lie, Delay, Delay, Delay, Etc., Etc., Etc....
Then claim it’s old business and time to move on.
Just like our Milquetoast Missouri Gov obeyed orders from Il Douchebag to stand down the National Guard at Ferguson back in 2014 and just let it burn. Filthy stinkin DemonRats.
There is a difference between making a mistake and criminal action.
We have 4 dead Americans, left in a foreign Country to die, Americans don't do that, only someone like Barky and Hillary would allow that to happen, we need to find out why and in my opinion that is TREASON!!!
We have emails that need to be re investigated, she lied to Congress in the Benghazi hearings the same as she lied in the email investigations...that's all she know how to do is lie, if that, I don't know what to call it, were to tell the truth just ONE time, she would evaporate off the face of the earth!!!
We have 6 Billion dollars missing from her from Sec. of State...where did it go? To the Clinton Crime Foundation (RICO)??? Was it to buy off another foreign country??? These need to be answered and in the TRUTH!!!
There are so many things with the Clintons we need to know the answers to, she and him need to be in PRISON...
I don't like what Bernie Sanders stands for, Communism, but by darn, he had as many people show up to his rallies as Trump did, this country was split between Trump and Sanders, but the media didn't want us to know that, so they ‘covered that up’ just how many things are they covering up?
That's another thing we need to investigate, why were the media running everything through the RATS instead of telling the American People the TRUTH like they are suppose to be doing? Those that did that, need to be brought up on charges the same as the Clintons and others...
Our Country is hanging on as much as it can, and if we don't get Trump in the Oval Office, we are SCREWED!!! All the lives that have been given to protect America will be gone, those of us that are American and believe in America will be gone...America will turn into a ‘third world Country’ is that what these people want and why????
GO.TRUMP/PENCE.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!
Ambassador Stevens has no comment.
Such a poor old doddering fool who never knows anything. Didn't know about Benghazi, didn't know about email security, didn't know how to wipe a phone clean, didn't know about the latest DNC antics, didn't know about her husband's affairs, etc.
- So why wasn't cross border authority issued?
- How far up the chain of command did urgent requests for this authority go?
- Where was Obama??
- Where was Hillary Clinton???
So many questions that need to be answered.
No, there was no ball dropped. When balls are dropped football games change. What happened here was that responsibility was dropped and people died as a result. The stake was not points in a game, it was people’s lives. Because someone in the seats of highest honor in the country had something better to do than protect those lives. That somebody now considers still more power to be her due.
“Mistakes were made” is an expression that is commonly used as a rhetorical device, whereby a speaker acknowledges that a situation was handled poorly or inappropriately but seeks to evade any direct admission or accusation of responsibility by not specifying the person who made the mistakes.
The acknowledgement of “mistakes” is framed in an abstract sense, with no direct reference to who made the mistakes. A less evasive construction might be along the lines of “I made mistakes” or “John Doe made mistakes.” The speaker neither accepts personal responsibility nor accuses anyone else. The word “mistakes” also does not imply intent.
The New York Times has called the phrase a “classic Washington linguistic construct.” Political scientist William Schneider suggested that this usage be referred to as the “past exonerative” tense, and commentator William Safire has defined the phrase as “[a] passive-evasive way of acknowledging error while distancing the speaker from responsibility for it”.
A commentator at NPR declared this expression to be “the king of non-apologies”. While perhaps most famous in politics, the phrase has also been used in business, sports, and entertainment.
