Al Gores self-imposed exile from politics will extend to this weeks Democratic National Convention.
Citing obligations in Tennessee, the former vice presidents spokeswoman told POLITICO that Gore plans to skip the festivities in Philadelphia where his former bosss wife will accept the Democratic presidential nomination. The Tennessean first reported Gore's decision earlier Sunday.
Gore remains one of the last Democratic Party luminaries not to make a formal endorsement of Hillary Clinton. Betsy McManus, Gores communications director, told POLITICO last fall that hed wait until a nominee had been formally selected to weigh in. But its been more than a month since Clinton sewed up the necessary delegates, and Gore has maintained his silence on the 2016 presidential race.
Gores close friends and allies have in the past said he was staying quiet in order to make climate change a more potent issue with the presidential candidates and also because of his complicated relationship with the former first lady that dates back more than 20 years.

He doesn’t want anyone to see how fat he is now.

Maybe Al can do a “gun control” ad for the Felon running for President.
Still no word on whether Jeb and Kasich will be there?
Evidently he hates Hillary as much as Bill does.
The Clintons and Gores are NOT close... I’m sure the media knows and is covering for Hillary (as usual)
Leni
He loathes her.
LOL
Pretty sad that Al Gore is missing Bill Clinton’s nomination (through his proxy wife) to a third term in office.
Gosh, is there not a part of the constitution that liberals won’t shred? (What, it’s his wife? Can someone please look at New York’s laws which treat a married pair as one unit for taxes and so much else, as well as their amicus brief to SCOTUS, as well as the arguments by the US solicitor general?)
Then find one person who wrote, or voted for the 26th amendment in either congress or the many state offices who would consider the wife of a president to be excluded from the 26th’s prohibitions of two terms in office...
Hint: They don’t exist, and even wrote about it at the time saying that such an exception doesn’t exist.
LOL, you’re probably right.
Speaking of extra pounds, Hillary has really packed on the pounds downstairs. Her lower body has really expanded.
He’ll be too busy clipping coupons and lighting cigars with $100 bills.
Apparently the “I was almost elected” speaker slot at the convention was already booked.
He might suspect that having that many sinners and liars together at the convention, all will be turned to salt.
ROTFLMAO!
