The YouGov/CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker polled likely voters across eleven competitive states before and after the Republican National Convention
Donald Trump has made small gains among undecided voters in eleven competitive states, according to two waves of the YouGov/CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker, carried out before and after the Republican National Convention.
The Republican nominees share of support has risen to 42% in the latest survey, putting him one point ahead of his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton. Trumps support is up from 40% in the previous round of interviews while Hillary Clintons support held firm at 41%. Gary Johnsons support is 6%, a one point increase from before, and Jill Steins was unchanged at 2%. The share of remaining undecided or third-party voters fell from 11% to 9%.
The study includes likely voters from eleven states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. Voters who participated in the most recent wave were first interviewed July 13-15 and were recontacted July 22-23 at the conclusion of the Republican National Convention.
Overall, thirty-six percent of likely voters in these states report feeling more positively about Donald Trump following the convention, while 32% report feeling more negatively. 22% say their views are unchanged.
Best I can tell is by stripping out CO, MI, and NV, based on previous state polls in these states, Trump would gain 1% for every 2% deviation off the poll’s up 2% result. So Trump could very well be averaging a 5 point lead in FL, IA, NC, NH, OH, PA, VA, WI.
Mainly people are pissed off. The anger at the elite class you know the 99%, will burn Washington down this year.
Still too early to say. Right now, maybe 80% of Republicans said they’ll vote for Trump.
But the data is flawed and manipulated in the first place
Trump negatives are only high because Hillary’s are high
That way they can point and say look they both are bad
It is how they cover themselves without actually cooking Hillary’s numbers
This way the can manipulate Trumps numbers as well.
It is all a game, remember figures don’t lie but liars can figure
The MSM, DNC and team Hillary are nothing but liars.....
I know Democrats who turned against Obama, despise Clinton, and are set against Trump. The best we can hope is that they sit out 2016. I think they will vote Clinton though. I hope Trump will win every Romney state and then carry FL, OH, PA, IA, and NH; would like to get VA but, well VA may be harder than PA. I expect, at best, a close election and intend to pray without ceasing for God’s mercy to enable Trump to be our next President, and to be a faithful leader.
TED CRUZ supporters I know (except 2 diehard GLENN BECK groupies) were repulsed by his self-serving non-endorsement. They are now in the TRUMP camp.
This is great news considering Romney only won one single state (NC) of the eleven.
Or should be. I agree with your take on it. I think most folks woke up to Ted, who and what he really was.
Sad really. Self-destructo...
She is bouncing already with the demise of D W-S and Hillary's efforts to clean up the Democratic Party.
CO depends on whether Glenn can bring together all anti-Hillary voters. He is a Cruzer 100% for Trump...and of course, for himself.
Trumpsters who attack Cruzers make the work of the Glenns of the country very difficult.
Russia Today has more credibility.
The data is flawed, the democrats are on the verge of collapse and the media is doing everything they can to prop up that clown show. The protesters are going to Bern down Philly while the RNC convention was peaceful, well maybe except for some Cruz booing, but nothing what we are going to see go down in Philly next week.
Destruction and Chaos seems to be the Clintons MO
If the press is the enemy, then it no longer should be free to operate unmolested.
The liberal media WILL NOT report anything favorable of Trump.
I doubt any numbers being reported right now.
Trumpsters need to wake up. Agreed Trump and Clinton both have high name recognition and high negatives.
Trump and Clinton can do almost nothing to change the opinions of the undecided in a favorable direction. They can only increase their negatives.
But a large number of people, especially the undecided, are mosty influenced by friends and family, not by the media or candidates.
When Trumpsters go around insulting those not already on the Trump wagon, as happens both on FR and on other pro-Trump sites, they drive people away from Trump and hurt Trumps chances.
More importantly, if these Trumpsters insult their friends and neighbors and in-laws and cousins they will lose that vote for Trump.
At this point, Clinton supporters and Trump supporters are the ones who can convince the undecided to decide. Many of the undecided, those who follow politics closely, and including many Cruzers have consciously chosen to not decide until the last week. So the burden is on the supporters of candidates to be convincing salespersons who know how to win-friends-and-influence-people and how-to-close-the-deal.
But remember, the candidates can increase their negatives.
Source?
“Trumpsters need to wake up.”
They are awake. How the hell do you think Trump has won so big??
Get real.
Cut out the infantile “Trumpsters” label.
