The three networks on Thursday night immediately derided Donald Trumps dark speech as one coming from a vengeful demagogue. On NBC, Tom Brokaw allowed that some will see Trump as on a white horse who will lead them to some kind of sanctuary and then pull the drawbridge up. But he sneered, Others looking in are going to see someone they will only think as a demagogue of some kind.
Chuck Todd labeled, I thought it was an extraordinarily dark speech. Republican operative Nicolle Wallace lamented, We are now represented as a party by a man who believes in protectionism, isolationism and nativism.
Over on CBS, Evening News anchor Scott Pelley immediately dismissed, It was a loud voice, more vengeful than hopeful. More hyperbole than details. This Morning co-host Charlie Rose huffed that the address had little appeal to the better angels.

The Ministry of Propaganda has no choice but to go scorched earth from here to November.
They are trying to elect one of the most unlikeable figures in American History.
This is all the radical left fools have. Idiots. Trump mapped out a grand plan to SAVE AMERICA from its foreign and domestic enemies...and that includes the RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS.
Oh, they are so upset.
NBC? Didn’t they used to have “news”?
The so-called mainstream media have long since abandoned any pretense of being real news organizations. I abandoned paying attention to them decades ago.
I thought it was an extraordinarily dark speech. Republican operative Nicolle Wallace lamented, We are now represented as a party by a man who believes in protectionism, isolationism and nativism.
**************************
First, Nicole Wallace is a Cheap Labor Express operative who sabotages Republicans.
Second, what is bad about electing a President who puts Americans First?
Does Nicole Wallace support anyone to the right of Obama.
The liberal media clearly had their talking points coordinated before the speech and no matter what Trump had to say they were going to call it “dark” and scary.
I guess their main complaint is “He didn’t have any specifics.” SFW? You give the other team your playbook before the game? You just know hildabama will be using that next week. No specifics. Blah, blah, blah.
Watched most of Donald’s speech but had to leave so I must have missed his condemnation of unicorns and rainbows. Now THAT is dark and vengeful. I mean who doesn’t love unicorns and rainbows?
The media talking heads are even more loathing of Trump than they were with Reagan. They seemed to be nearly foaming at the mouth as they spewed their vitriol
Our memes should be "crooked", "dishonest", "untrustworthy" and variations on the theme. Try to work the terms in whenever you post anything online about Hillary.
Yes. This is the media Trump mentioned in his speech. They cannot stand the idea that their corrupt culture might be taken away from them and given back to the rightful owners..The People.
What is dark about “We’re going to keep you safe, bring jobs back, take care of our veterans?”
Dark Darth Todd. Who trusts anybody with two first names anyway?
Isn’t Todd too White to opine about “dark”?
The lockstream MSM. Journalist lives!
Probably the “self identifying” clause was in play.
It is not odd that the leftists MSM would all sing the same tune as though they are part of a vast left-wing conspiracy.
In reality Trump's speech speaks volumes that many in the MSM have been making these exact points for years. Concerns expressed by 70% of the people were identified by Trump.
CBS, NBC, ABC pundits sound like Harpies every time Trump says something. Are you getting tired of it? How can such shallow, irresponsible so-called journalists survive on lack of substance? Do they hope to be on the government payroll some day soon if the Democrats win?
